But I would be surprised if you find any of the D1 players missing games next week. The players/families in D1 have made more of a commitment to the sport than most of the players in the lower divisions. The coaches in this level also expect more from their teams as far as commitments go.
I think every family needs to do whats right for themselves - no other excuses should be made. LHGCL information has always read that there will be games during spring break and they will not except requests off during that time.

I'm afraid I just lost a little respect for you... nothing is "right" about what Rasta posts... as far as I'm concerned he's an elitist, inflammatory jerk, and not a very well spoken one at that. Whether he believes what he says or is just "stirring the pot" is irrelevant...

While some D1 players may be more committed than those in other divisions, I assure you there are some who are not. A commitment to attending games over spring break, and a 'desire' to be able to vacation over spring break, are not mutually exclusive.

Truth be told, after tournaments in Phoenix, Orlando, Boulder, etc... the reality is that most D1 parents can't afford to also take a vacation over Spring Break.

Rasta wrote:That's why all you poster above are in D111 or D11! Remember join your local YMCA and you will get Spring Break, a jersey and snacks after every game for ONLY $65.00. I keep telling you D111/D11 people to save your Money. The Nerve to say last year PPL (did you forget this is LHGCL and NOT PPL!!!!) Play big time Soccer and you will get a chance to go to Disney and play Soccer the same week.

My bad, I didn't see the filter that only allowed D1 parents on the forum. This is TXSOCCER, you could even be a rec soccer parent and post on here. Wait, Rasta, you seem to talk about rec soccer a lot, I'm guessing your DD just plays rec. That must be how you get time to go smoke in the hills.

No, not a rec parent... just a jerk.

Oh I know. If any of what he says can be trusted, he claims to be on a D1 team. But he has such a facination with rec, talks about it all the time, gives details about the cost & snack schedule, could he be pretending to be D1? He's always telling everyone to quit an join rec, maybe he's just lonely?

Asta is a poster who post to get other people to post. All of you and me keep feeding the Asta. Right or wrong, funny or not, Asta is getting people to post.. I could do without the Puff stuff, but just like soccer deal with it or not. Asta has an agenda

Yes you are absolutely right LS, it's just sad that there are parents out there that somehow get pleasure out of talking about kids/others they way he does. Just another sign of the moral decline in this country...

Not sure if I go that far, this is what youth sports is these days. Ricky Bobby said it "If your not first, your last"......

So you consider Ricky Bobby a good role model? Perhaps that says more about you than the state of youth sports these days...

Do you disagree that there is a moral decline in this country or that Rasta, aka "puff puff pass" and "your kid sucks" exemplifies the moral decline I speak of?
