If you are interested in coaching, then go for it. It sounds like you already have the right attitude, player development and fun over winning. I coached both my girls teams through rec, one is a 97 and the other a 00. I would suggest you go through and get your coaching licenses. The earlier classes are a lot of common sense, but you will get a lot of ideas and reference topics. I found this also helps with parents, who are sometimes harder to 'coach' than the kids.
