    TGPL 01' Odds

Post  MiddleClass on Tue Feb 09, 2010 12:20 am

Now that the Super Bowl is over and oddsmakers have the new odds out for next years champion, we present you the Monopoly TGPL 01' odds and their NFL counterpart. Whose your monopoly money on? Winnings to be paid in April.

Kicks 2-1 (Saints) All we do is win, baby! America loves us. Who Dat say they gonna beat them Kicks, Who Dat!
Princess Warriors 4-1 (Colts) Added some defense and weapons to a good core. Have a nickel package defense called "The Sunday Kittens".
Solar Red Bates 6-1 (Vikings) Has some good talent but has come up short vs the Elite in the past. Team wants to upgrade facility but the taxpayer keeps voting no!
Solar Red Guimares 6-1 (Ravens) We will grind, grind and grind and let the defense set the tempo.
Sting Flanagan 10-1 (Patriots) Lost some talent on defense but counting on the head coach to come up with a gameplan to outsmart opponents.
Samba Blue 12-1 (Giants) Don't confuse them with their counterparts in the same stadium that wear green. Has a strong history of success within the club.
Fusion Navy Duke 20-1 (Redskins) Experienced Coach who has switched teams and is ready to lead this group to the promise land.
Blue Diamonds 20-1 (Bengals) Good Talent, Good coach on a limited budget. Hosting open tryouts to add to the group. Team is in favor of revenue sharing throughout the league.

I'll bite, using college teams instead...
1-1 (7-1) Kicks (Boise State) Top of the heap until beaten, tough to go undefeated...
2-1 (6-2) SR Bates (USC) Always a top team with top players
4-1 (5-3) Princess Warriors (Cinncinatti) Scrappy little team, has some speed.
5-1 (5-3) Samba (Texas) Good little team, hasn't played many of the big-girls yet.
6-1 (4-4) Solar Guim (Oregon) May be little sister to Bates but a solid scrappy little team
10-1 (2-6) Blue Diamonds (TCU) Small group, good coaching could cause trouble.
10-1 (2-6) Fusion (Alabama) Big strong team, grood defense.
15-1 (1-7) Sting Flanagan (ou) Good team, fallen on hard times, we will see as they re-group.

I would give Solar Red Bates and Samba better odds since they played 11v11 last SDL season. Solar Red Bates also had a strong showing playing up this past weekend and were able to get in five 11v11 games.
Thanks Middleclass for the fun post.

Solar Red Guimares 6-1 (Ravens) We will grind, grind and grind and let the defense set the tempo.
6-1 (4-4) Solar Guim (Oregon) May be little sister to Bates but a solid scrappy little team

These both have to change immediately. We can live with your odds and predictions, but refuse to be associated with Baltimore or Oregon!
Solar Red Guimares 6-1 (Cowboys) Very good defense. Lots of firepower on offense.
6-1 (4-4) Solar Guim (TEXAS) We'll be in the mix right up to the end!
Now you know the affiliations, get it right next time.

I didn't mention the Cowboys on purpose because somebody like Mamma would come on here and call your coach a puppet. I can't mistake Adrian Solca for Jerry Jones either. The Cowboys are weak at safety and have no playmakers at that position, especially the free safety. The Ravens have a really good playmaking safety (Ed Reed) and a RB who most people said was too small. Ray Rice is 5 foot 8. cheers
