Yesterday, it was my sad task to report the passing of Karen Flanagan, a valued NTSSA Board Member, US Youth Soccer Region III Girls ODP Chairperson, former Lake Highlands Soccer Board Member and long time Dallas Cup Volunteer/Board Advisor.
There will be a Memorial Service for Karen on Thursday, November 12th, at 10 AM at:

Karen had been fighting a valiant battle against cancer for the last few years, during which she continued her efforts on behalf of soccer, most notably in her work with the US Youth Soccer and North Texas Soccer Olympic Development Programs. Few who knew Karen could doubt her commitment and passion, her good nature, and on occasion, her flash of Irish temper.
Karen will be sorely missed by all who knew her and we ask that you keep her husband, Mike, their sons, Brian, Brad, Blake and her entire family in your thoughts and prayers as they move forward during this time of loss and sorrow.
