Depending on how the brackets set up, it should come down to Odyssey and Genesis... I have to jump on Genesis a little for going out there to play when the PLD is available, but then again, this field is better than the 99s at the Wiseman... In hindsite, if TX Mustangs Hendy wanted to "work on things"... It would have looked much better to play Arlington, plus closer to home as well....

I agree that this will come down to Odyssey and Genesis but I don't know anything about the out-of-town teams. Does anyone know if the other teams could give the NTX teams any trouble?

The Oklahoma NWO99 really struggled in U11 Beat the Heat tournament a few weeks ago. Doubt they would give Odyssey or Genesis any trouble.

Good luck to my friends at Genesis!

Why are two D1 teams in this tournament? Trophy Hunting Genisis and Odyssey should be playing tougher competition.

I don't know the history of Odyssey but that Genesis team has only been together since signing date this year, July 1st, that's about 70-80 days of gellin' time for all those girls. They have been very fortunate to make as far as they have in that amount of time. Most of the teams in the Plano Tourn. have a lot to prove to other clubs. Genesis still has a lot to work on and prove to themselves. I can also promise you that not one single team will show up to loose out there or care anything about LHGCL , DI or anything other than winning the matches they play.. Good luck to everyone where ever you dd plays this weekend and be safe!!

Probably need to nurture confidence levels heading into the teeth of the D1 season. That and trophies.

are they giving trophies? That was one of the big disapointments for my older dd when they went select....the tournaments cost more to be in and they usually gave out medals to the winners....

Best of luck to everyone and play hard/be safe.

Hmmm. They might be D1, but they are going to have a tough season ahead of them. I hope the parents can understand this is for development and not just win or loses. Henderson maybe should have looked a playing here instead of playing in a silver bracket.

I said the same thing at the start of the thread....

People need to lay-off a little on some of these teams... Remember, that in every year previous to now, both of these teams would have been D2 teams!! Odyssey would have been the last D2 team.... Plus they would not have to travel far for this one on a Holiday weekend... Believe me, they will have enough pressure on them to live up to the "D1 Status"

Remember at the AYSES a few weeks ago, "D1" Revolution lost to "PPL" Strikers... The 20 teams dilute D1....

Mustangs Henderson stands a little differently, because they just tied Solar (a top team) last week... Plus Henderson cried all Spring long to TDs to have his team placed in the Gold Groups.... Now Silver??

The DD's know the difference between gold and silver. And they for sure know the difference between D1 and D3.

This coach (Genesis Elite RH)is known for ducking competition. You can beleive the reason he chose to not play Plano Labor Day ( In his own back yard) was to duck better teams. This is not an opinion but fact. We will not see him play one competitive tourney this year. Thats why he did King Tut not Puma Cup. Tournament before that played in boys division to keep from playing top 99 girls.

It usually backfires go get em Arlington!!!!!!

If he wins everyone congratulate him on again ducking top teams.

By the way that team says they just put together but most of those girls have played for that coach since 6 and 7 on and off.
