Post by BallStryker on 18/06/13, 10:45 am

Lay em down people. Here's my uneducated guesses

Gold Semis:
RASE 3
RUSH 1

FC Dallas Gold 1
Sting G 0

Gold Finals:
FC Dallas Gold 1
RASE 0

Silver Semis:
Texans Scott 1
FC Dallas Thompson 3

Sting Garrett 1
Andromeda 2

Silver Finals
FC Dallas Thomspon 2
Andromeda 0

Gold Semis: RASE 2 Sting West 0
                    Sting G 2 FCD Gold 1

Finals:  RASE 1  Sting G 0

Silver Semis: FCD Thompson 3 DT Scott 1
                     Andromeda 1 Sting Garrett 0

Finals:  Andromeda 1  FCD Thompson 0

* In the Gold Bracket it will be a toss up between Sting West, LP Rush, and FCD Suarez for the wildcard.  It just depends who can get max points vs the other teams after losing to RASE and Sting G.

Our Silver Brackets are similar.  I didn't even check yours prior to doing mine.

I think the Silver Bracket is much easier to predict. FC Dallas Thompson and Andromeda are the cream of the crop here (in fact I could make a case that FC Dallas Thompson should be playing Gold).

Gold is a much more difficult one to predict. Will be fun to see what shakes out.

TRUE!!!!  Sting Skaife should be in their as well. Those two should replace Mustangs FC and LP Clemence.  Now Andromeda can take Skaife place so they can score some goals and get in a rhythm.BallStryker wrote:I think the Silver Bracket is much easier to predict. I stand corrected.  According to bw rankings then it should be FCD Thompson and FWFC White in Gold while Mustangs FC and LP Clemence should move to silver.

Sometimes teams opt for Silver...we don't know each team's intention

FCD Thompson could/should play in gold...otherwise the rest are where they belong

Got to be honest...never seen FWFC play

There's been so much recent movement with 03s
That i think you can't put too much weight on the FBRs
(Outside of the top6 teams)
FBR data includes games from 2/1...heck, my DD has been on 3 different teams since then.

The way I see it....being so close to signing day. There's only three reasons to guess play this weekend:

1) you're conflicted.  Not totally confident with your current 03 team and wanting to take this last opportunity to check out a potential better situation. (This would be a ballsy move and not a popular move at all with your current team)

2) you're scared.   There is a fair chance your current team is going to implode!

3) you're retarded. Your current team is off this weekend and think 'more touches' are vital regardless of how the guess playing may be perceived by your current coach and team.

Or BWC

A team could be short due to injuries or players out of town and need some help in the heat this weekend.

Just a thought!

Coaches don't want to hear "we're just helping them out because they have some injuries"

That may be ok in May...but not 10 days before signing.

I've talked with several coaches.....03 Guesting this week, for the most part, is not happening.

i completely agree, especially #3. anyone dumb enough to guest this weekend is dealing themselves out of a spot imo. play the clock out and sign with your team, plenty of touches coming up....

This looks like a pretty good tournament. I'll be interested to hear who is playing where this weekend but simply going off what I know here's what I will predict.

Pool A: LP RASE - I give Sting W a good chance to win this one, they seem to keep every game close and RASE seems to have trouble scoring so I can see this one being pretty tight. Winner of this game advances most likely.

Pool B: FCD Gold - Not really anyone else in this group that should be able to hang with them.

Pool C: Sting G - Much like pool A I think LP Rush has a real shot to come out as the winner of this pool but I'll go with the more tested and consistent team.

Wildcard: LP Rush - I think they have more games where they can score points if they don't tie or beat Sting G.

It's really been a while since I've seen any of these teams play so this is all just a shot in the dark.  Should be fun to watch.

It's hard to disagree with any of those picks GrandTx
If physical, aggressive play is allowed, Sting Goodman could make some noise in Bracket 2 and steal a wildcard

Sting Goodman, Sting Hilton, LP Keegan, and Sting Sanchez are four teams that I think have a chance to make some noise. The problem always is after the Top 3 teams in this tournament (Rase, FCD Gold, and Sting G) it all comes down to consistency. On paper it may look one way but once that ball starts bouncing around on these lush, pristine cow pasutures who the heck knows what's going to happen.

Personally I fully expect to see some upsets this weekend.

Railroad Park at 5:30 Friday night is going to be hoppin! In one hour one could preview 12 potential LH 03 teams...

LP Rase 03 vs Sting West - Field 1
Mustangs vs Sting Central - Field 2
Sting Goodman vs LP Keegan - Field 4
Sting Hilton vs FCD Gold - Field 3
Sting 03 vs LP Rush - Field 5
FCD Suarez vs LP Clemence - Field 7

I'm going to predict SRSA wins the boys silver division. They'd probably make the semi's of the Gold.

I might have to stop by on Friday night to catch some of these games.
