No doubt FCD earned the victory and they did what the other two Dallas teams couldn't do, and that's bring home the goods. FCD didn't play any differently there than they do at home, and the yellows didn't help earn their victory just like it doesn't help them earn wins in LH.

For a Cow Girl who is legally blonde, you have very valid points there. Are you really sure you are legally blonde?
On being physical or what not, I think it is all about reputation, and some times the teams or coaches (and parents) don't do much to help the situation. Reputation is built one brick at a time (or may be one yellow card at a time).
I still think almost all kids at this age won't do anything their coaches would not want them do to. If they do it time and time, it is because their coaches let them think it is ok to do it, and get rewarded by playing more and more. Parents can try and curtail it, but coaches can not escape the stigma or the reputation built on it.
I'm out, see u all on the pitch........

Congrats to both FCDallas teams! Gotsoocer.com has FCD as #2 and FCDB as #11 in the nation. Way to represent NTX in AZ

Yes, congrats to all 3 NTX teams that played last weekend...and especially FCD for winning it all
Kinda hard to take a ranking seriously that has the Dallas Texans #155 in the nation and behind 7-8 local DFW teams

Or may be they will
Filtered to NTX only, I kind of like the winning percentage of Odyssey98, Arsenal Gunners98 and Texas Storm98.
I wonder why they are not #1, 2 and 3 in NTX.

The refs were much quicker to pull them out compared to what I've seen in LH's ...
A fair amount of home cookin' occurred in our bracket and semi-final games and that is putting it mildly ...
Glad we were able to fight through those ...
The reality is LHCL D1 soccer is arguably the most competitive division in the country. We, along with the refs, are use to tough physical play. When teams from this division go participate in out-of-state tournaments, and play the style they are use to it catches the opponents and reds by surprise. Personally I don't blame the refs here or there. LH refs are use to a higher level of physicality, i love that they let the girls play. Go to Arizona, Cali, Florida etc., those refs and teams aren't use to it that is why so many yellows are given. That is why fewer yellow cards fly here then there.
Great job all LHCL teams bringing our style out West!

That tells you a lot about GotSoccer's rankings. Texas Storm is listed at 4-0, yet their 4 victories were against 3 '99 teams and 1 rec team from GLASA.

Assuming this to be true, why did neither FCDB or Sting collect any cards (as stated in a previous post) when they took their tough, physical, LHGCL style of play out West?
