I know most of us want to watch our kiddos but man I love this rain.  Hoping it rains like this the entire weekend...

They should get to play in the rain. Best of both worlds.

All depends on how much rain comes down. I always enjoyed games in the rain (except in November through March) but generally those games only happened because it started raining about game time and it was in a tournament. Leagues tend to be much more eager to postpone games due to weather. Now if it keeps raining like it has this morning I don't see any way the Saturday leagues will have fields dry enough to play on. However it's been so dry for so long the ground may soak it all up like a sponge.

With all the injuries that seem to be propping up and now this virus that is going around (stomach and/or congestion), a weekend off would be welcomed as much as I hate to say it. Absolutely can NOT have a Thurs night make up game though!!! Coincidence or not, we've never had injuries until 7th grade which is also the start of their middle school athletic's careers! hmmm.....

The worst of the front seems to be east of Plano at this point having dropped roughly an inch of rain so far. The radar to the front doesn't show the strength that we have seen and seems to be moving NE. We may miss out on most of the precip and be able to play tomorrow.

Having said that, we will probably see mass flooding.

I have three DD's that all play sports.  Two now in HS and youngest just started MS so I can speak from experience, though not a complete one since they have all attended the same schools.  MS coaches, in our district, do not go through proper warm ups, stretches, etc.. before having the girls start physical activity.  My girls have had more injuries than I can count because of MS Athletics.

That isn't because my DD's don't know how to warm up, but rather the coaches coming out and saying stuff like "OK that is enough gabbing, everybody run 2 laps" with no warm-ups or warm-downs.

But to stay on topic... Yea! Come on rain!  cheers
