Week 14 D1 LHGCL Predictions

The two Solar girls were player passed for today's game. That is a fact. They did not play in the game, however they were there to play if needed. Solar played a good game, and we have work to do before we catch them. They didn't need the two but they had them there "just in case". Anyone disputing anything else is in denial or misinformed. I turned in the game cards both girls were on there, they were passed to play with the 03's today.

Now are we glad that they sat, of course because the score line would definitely have been much worse. We are honored that they respected our game enough to bring out reinforcements but they were/are fine without them.

2dd's..... shhhhh..... don't tell people that. Turf is trying to play it off as they are there for support. Don't ruin that for him.

If they were on the roster we as parents were not told about it. I as one still consider them as a part of our team and will welcome them anytime.

I know the facts, I was disputing your BS claim that they were there to cheer on the team. They were there to help if needed and removed from the 02 roster for the weekend because they were playing their sister team solar Gio. , atleast this is what the players were told. HONESTLY THEY ARE DISPLACED Players - pick a team and stick with it. And quite funny that Lake Highlands let's one parent dictate rules and procedures that have been in place a long time, bc hie has financial pull.

People, pass play is in place to help big clubs keep spots .period. Get used to it, the boys have been doing it left and right. Cry and moan but this is competitive soccer and those spots are valuable and will be protected....

Solar doesn't have to tell the parents anything about the roster. I would also expect to see "the two" in top tournaments and things like state cup. I does warm my heart to see you so welcoming, although I would guess that neither of them plays in your DD's spot.

Yep, the welcoming gets colder when your kid is the one sitting the bench so the ringers can win the game ....

although I have seen parents perfectly happy to have their kid sit the bench so ringers can win for them, infact I have seen parents request the help

You feel that turftoe? That feeling in your gut when you find out AS had ZERO confidence in your team beating FCD Gold so he had to call in for help? He had no confidence in the fact that your girls just might have lost the game and made it in to a learning experience? Instead, he brought in help to only ensure a victory and keep the undefeated season. This I am sure was a great learning experience for your team. If you have a chance of playing a good team that you think could beat you, bring in help because we do not feel you are good enough.

Congrats on the win and keeping the undefeated season. Too bad you didn't have your help when you played DTS and only won 2-1 due to a last minute free kick. Or the time FCD Premier took you in to OT. Or the showing you had with Sting Hilton and your inability to score.

You mention in previous posts you welcome the competetion, but in reality it scares the hell out of your coach and probably you too.

What about the fact that they've been to several of the SRSA games already when they didn't have a time conflict with the 02 games? I see Missimo and his kid at their games all the time. What about the fact that they practice together from what I understand? Those girls are all very close friends.

It sounds like it's only a temporary situation anyway until ECNL kicks in. You know they'll play State Cup and national tournaments together.

And you need to learn soccer. Forget the scores of the DTS, FC, and Sting games. Did you watch the actual soccer being played? There is a Grand Canyon of difference in the quality of play from SRSA and the rest of the age group. Scores mean almost nothing.

Using your own logic....Scores mean almost nothing... but your team brought back their two top players to affect the score. Right?
I mean, because the quality of play doesn't suffer when they don't play, right?

I ll take a 2-1 score any day with quality play. Even if we miss 10 shots a game it's the build up that really counts in the long run. But you ll never get some parents to understand that.

That's ridiculous, they beat the snot out of fc dallas gold. Keeping some insurance is just foresight. i am not a srsa homer but great teams find ways to win, the ball seems to bounce for them. losers say we held them to 3 goals or they only beat us on a blah blah. YOU WERE BEATEN. this holds true not just in srsa's case but when a d3 team loses to d1 team 2-1 and parents get all giddy. truth be told you would lose 9 out of ten times regardless of the score. A LOSS IS A LOSS and style points dont count in competitive soccer...

Per the other SRSA parent .. style points is all that does matter, and not the score. Can you guys hold a parents meeting at the next practice and please decide to be consistent in your "we are better than you" approach?

What's ridiculous is the fact that SRSA can beat every team in D1 '03 soccer. The first chance AS sees a team that may pose a threat, he invokes the player pass rule. Is this for the "development of the team" or to ensure he gets an undefeated season?

Who are you guys kidding - AS could care less. We all know who pulled those strings.

Apparently, these 2 girls are like Phil Jackson... just their mere presence on the sidelines causes the team to play better...

whats really behind this was the fcd gold belief that they were in the same league as SRSA, we're number 8 in the country blah blah. reality has set in that they are no different than dts, sting g, FCD premier etc....

Who knew you were so modest and humble? But, keep in mind, your coach thought they needed to bring back two former players to win. They weren't needed in the end, but the thought was there.

They're at most of the games already. Yes, they can go into the game, I suppose, but that's even more telling.

What if you took the top two players off FC Gold? Or the Texans or Sting or any team? There'd be a massive dropoff, right? Not so much at SRSA. It all looks pretty much the same.

Solar has exactly one team in Lake Highlands, right? It's not like they have 100 kids to "player pass" like FCD or Liverpool. SRSA has two kids that are essentially on their roster anyway that they are loaning to the 02 team.
