My friends on Sting Royal thought that your team played them tough, played more of a finesse, ball control game than they had seen before from TFC. They said it was obvious that the team is still finding its way, but they were impressed.

Nice try, but not exactly what AG thought when she contacted AW following the game to ask what happened to the team. I will not hide that I have no respect on a personal level for Mr. Ed and how he has been less than forthcoming with his "explanations" to the entire TFC 98G team (girls and parents) and hides behind a statement that "it's just not appropriate to discuss". Of course it isn't "appropriate" because if the truth were known, not only would he be seen for how he completely botched the entire situation, but the "other side" in the AW hearing before North Texas would be very interested in knowing how everything played out behind the curtain. Unfortunately, I sit back and watch the unraveling of the team that AW and a few others (myself included) worked hard to build. I did give my word to Mr. Ed that I would not be involved (other than getting my dd to team events) unless Mr. Ed tries to drag me in or further disparage me. As an example, he has his TFC PR machine floating the idea that I was really the one working behind the scenes to damage AW so that I could take over the team. AW and I have had a good laugh over this one. I can keep my word but am not sure if Mr. Ed will fulfill his commitment, something he has not been able to quite accomplish to date. I wish all the girls on the team great success but can't say the same for Mr. Ed.

    Metro/IL2W,
I was under the impression that AW was getting suspended from NTTSA for a year anyways and he resigned prior to that happening. Was I mislead on this?

AW had a hearing with NTX and prior to the hearing he resigned from coaching the 98's. He was given 1 year probation at the hearing not a suspension.

    What did he do.....allegedly?

    involuntary player release.....allegedly

Come on, Metro......that won't sell the papers. We need more juicy details........allegedly

Beyond what I said that is all I know(and care to know). Anything else would be rumor and speculation.

Exactly! What's the point of txsoccer.net if we confine ourselves only to facts and reality?? Juicy conjecture beats cold, hard facts everytime.

And, what time does Springer come on tonight? I lost my TV Guide....

Who communicates with the team? Maybe we need to look further into the infraction. Coach is responsible for anyone that communicates on his behalf according to the rules.

Wow, with comments like some of these by certain TFC parents, I can't imagine any coach not wanting their dd's on his team next year. After all, we all know coaches don't monitor these sites and don't know who certain posters are.

Do you really want the story? It would take a while to get through, but some might find it quite entertaining.

    TFC / Solar Gold Scrimmage?

TFC and Revolution have yet to play each other .TFC is trying to adjust to new coach on the fly. Revolution is always tough. IMO Revolution and TFC will be playing for 3rd. Still early in the season however.

I will go out on a limb and say TFC will finish 4th and possibly 5th.

Flat 4, 2 touch soccer looks great but does not put numbers in the W column at U12, when you play teams that have 1 or more girls that will blow right past your defense if they make a mistake and they will.(IMO) Just look at FWFC Red playing with the flat 4.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with Metro on this one - TFC will very likely end up in 4th or 5th by the end of the season. Without the forced coaching change, they probably would have been fighting DFW Tornados for the top spot, but now it appears that there are too many girls that do not have the same desire as before and are just playing out the string. I believe I stated in another thread that the "TFC Slide" has begun. What I meant by this is that it is now inevitable that some of the better talent on the team will leave this 2nd tier club and will be replaced by lesser talent. That didn't appear to be the direction when AW was coaching as we already had 4 - 5 "upgrades" that were expressing serious interest in joining the team if it was coached by AW. Mr. Ed will probably not attract the same level of talent and the inevitable slide has begun.
On the positive side, the TFC 98G team now has girls setting new personal bests while juggling the ball and might have some that are now challenging the TFC Blue & White girls for juggling supremacy - a focus by Mr. Ed!!

I heard that Ed scrimmaged Solar Gold (D1) last night. True or False? Anyone know how they did?

How about 7-0 SG. Mr. Ed probably doesn't see the situation for what it probably was - an opportunity for CD (on his home turf) to look at players he might want to try to bring over for next year (if any). After the scrimmage, Mr. Ed threw a little bit of a fit after the game and most of the dds just kind of stared back with glazed eyes. Mr. Ed's ego won't let him comprehend that he never had, and never will have, the heart and soul of this team. In addition, I would be comfortable in saying that very few, if any, dd/family on the team came to this team for the club as their primary reason, something else Mr. Ed's blinders do not allow him to see.

WOW! SG is known for not scoring. Didn't TFC beat them in a tournament over the summer? Did SG look that good or TFC look that bad?
You are right about the recruiting angle with CD. He got a few of those TFC girls last year. Probably more heading his way.

Why would CD want to bring on girls from a team that seems to be spiraling out of control!?!?!?

And on a side note AW has known to have illegally released players previous to this year.

Do you have proof of this are are you making this statement based upon allegations? He has certainly never been suspended, which would be the result of illegally releasing a player.

I sure do have proof!! He never got suspended because no one ever spoke up before, sounds like someone finally had enough and spoke up!

Then please share your "proof". It is doubtful that you do have any or something would have been done about it when something allegedly occurred. It's easy to make accusations, especially when one's emotions and/or feelings are involved, but the reality is that he has not done what you are falsely accusing him of or he would have been suspended according to North Texas rules - it's pretty cut and dry. Telling someone that they will probably not get as much playing time as they once had is not releasing someone. Telling someone that they are no longer a starter is not releasing someone. Agsin, please share since you are so adament about making an accusation in which North Texas did not find to be the case.
