Going into the QTs I'm sure every coach had their team pumped up to make DI, but those hopes did not play out as designed. Then as they went into DIII the same coaches may have explained how it was good to go down to ,and dominate, DIII. Now that those hopes did not pan out I would think it would take a thick skinned human to listen to another set of promises and hopes from the same coach. A team that made DI ,even if they over achieved to get there, can still look forward to winning games at a DIII level. It would be a shame for parents and DDs to suffer through a tough season of DI soccer and not be there to reap the benifits of it the next year at a different level of competition. If the two teams that move down to DIII , from DI, have been playing the top teams in the area for the past year it would make sense that, while not ready for DI, they would be at least up to the competition in DIII. I think as long as a team is guaranteed a spot in LHGCL that it would be foolish to jump to another team chasing the prize. While these DDs are still 11 yrs old, as long as you have confidence in your coach and system, it might be better to stick together and learn to play with the same core group and help build a better team. That being said I'm sure some parents will think that, rather than have an ounce of loyalty, it's better to try to jump to a team trying to find a better team. I think one of Sting's teams is in 3rd in DIII right now. If Sting does what they have done in the past that team will have it's best players promoted up and other girls moved in to play. It will be hard to keep those parents together knowing they will be on a team that is having it's talent moved off it's roster. I believe the same would go for most clubs that excercise this way of moving players up, it can leave the players and parents left behind feeling a little rejected, no matter how the Blue machine puts a spin on it.

You just can't let your feelings about the third place DIII team go can you. I understand what you are saying about the top clubs wanting to keep their top players on the top teams. This keeps the money coming in. However, your little jabs at one particular Sting team have gotten old. LET IT GO!! BW has moved way past this thing and is working on developing HIS team. I would hope that with all the work, on top of the "60 day challenge", RH has put in he has moved past this as well. I seems it has just left a bad taste in your mouth. May I suggest some Listerine, rinse for 10 min, if the taste is still there then repeat until the taste is gone.
Hope you can enjoy the rest of your season and the upcoming tournament season.

Here's my prediction for DIII games at Chinn Chapel for tomorrow...
Not going to happen, at least not at CC. I got an email from GLASA earlier today that CC is closed of Sat 3/13. No word from LHCL on fields for tomorrow yet, but I'm guessing they be a scambling.

Surely it has dried out enough with the wind and sun today.

If you go back and check this thread you will see that SS put the 3rd team in DIII in the conversation, not me... I just added to the thread I also never brought up any coaches...Have no idea where any other coach is now except for ours. I still believe that the current roster for the team in 3rd place in DIII will implode and be refilled to hold on to the DIII spot before Lady Aztecs, Genesis, Odyssey, or any other DI team on the move will implode. Is it wrong of me to express this. I do not think that moving from DI to DIII will implode a team like having your top talent pulled off your team will. This has nothing to do with your coach or any past issues it's just the way I feel. Ask SS if Sting moves their top talent aroud I think he has the inside track on the way Sting operates........Let's just sit back relax and let time tell how things will play out.......

SS brought them up by saying he thought they might win D3 next year and your team would blow up. You got all butt hurt and turned it personal. That's why you went into your rant about our coach promising this and promising that. It's been a full year since whatever happened to keep you all sour. Let it go dude, let it go. Have a beer or something. Hell I will even meet you and buy you the first one because I don't have any ill feeling towards you or your team but your continous Sting Blue bashing gets old. I live in Garland and pretty sure you live close by so I buy the first round at Buffalo Wild Wings

You know the saying....opinions are like .......well you know the saying. Good luck the rest of the way.

I appreciate the back and forth this thread has produced for us in this dull 99G section... But I can't say that I have any inside info on what Sting does... I get the rumors 3rd hand just like most of us: "A dad on another team talked to Tatu, and....... " Very Happy

I still say 3rd place in D3 will go D2 next year.... If they can't field a team, the 4th place Smile

Looking at the remaining schedules, I think it is likely the 3rd place team will be Sparta, not Sting.

And just for your info our coach hasn't put any spin on anything this season. He is very disappointed in how Sting Blue has played so far. Whether you continue to hold your little grudge with the team because whatever has happened In the past is your choice but don't try and speak ahout Things you know nothing about. All of that drama was way before my dd joining the team so let it go.

92,93,94,95,96,97,98, or every year since they have had more than one team. I'm sure it will be different with the 99's
Nothing wrong with the approach as long as you are up front about it which has not usually been the case.

    Since I don't have a 92,93,94,95,96,97,98 I wouldn't know.
