First of all,I'm the keepers dad. I don't get down like that so know who you are taking to. This is my first post and probably my last. Also I haven't got into any situations with any one at a soccer field, so leave me and my daughter out of it.

Let this thread be an example of why not to post when you have been drinking.

Just a clarification... I received a few very apologetic and nice messages from parents of this team regarding this thread. From the original posters comments, I assumed he was the parent of the GK for this team. I now know that is not accurate. I just did not want others to assume it was the GK's parent who made threats and said he was about violence, etc.

An introspective:

When are we truly Flourishing?
When are we truly outside looking in?

I would suggest we are flourishing when we make great selfless strides for good in our lives and thus in the lives of others.

One needs to consider when they are “outside” of themselves and continuously strive to “look inward”. When our tongue is loose and our example bad, we are not only destroying ourselves but more importantly, we are jeopardizing the hope for our own and those in our sphere of influence.

In the end soccer, (competition in general), is of no importance. Competition is good in our lives only if it is pursued in the light of sportsmanship and charity. In order to persevere, we need to suppress our pride and best live our lives as a good example for our DD’s and the next generation.

The most important thing in our lives is not winning, for that is but vainglory. We need to look to those things that are greater.
