Week 10 Predictions

Predicting is a waste of time. LHGCL CCP will just basterdise the results anyway.

Its only a waste of time if you suck at it... Research shows, the more tequila you drink, the more fun this forum can be - especially predicting scores  

How about this: care less about being a winner parent and care more about the time you get to spend and the  personal development (on and off the field) of your 11/12 year old daughter and then things like CPP wont matter any more, its just a rule that can be used for good or bad. Talk about it with your DD, let her form her own opinion, make it a life lesson and move on... Yes, there will be other rules that are used and abused later in her life.

"Complainer", "I wanna win", and "I'm going to sulk about it until my daughter is the star of the show" parents are the worst part of any youth sport.

Week 10 predictions.
Well there's only one game this week in U12 and thats
reccostx vs Herradura
A great battle of independent v big club; good v evil
Should be fun to watch.

reccostx, jumps out to an early lead on the DI favorite as Herradura struggles to find her balance. Herradura is pulled in the 2nd and her player pass replacement scores late to avoid the shutout.

The ref had no business calling this game - several rec level fouls that should be instant send offs IMO!!!  Then the fouls they called on us were BS! - Their team has been trained to flop. - Pitiful

That and the fields were horrible. Our club does not practice on crab grass - why should we be made to play games on it? I attribute at least 3 missed goals to the quality of the field.

But whatever, we won in my mind.

Was it really Sting Sanchez? Or was it Sting SanHilGuit as that team historically has done?

It has been a nice run for Sting Sanchez.  But, let's no get too carried away. It's a long race and it's only at the halfway point. When/if Player Pass gets fixed, I expect Mutiny and/or Sparta to make a real push for that top spot. These two teams are multidimensional.

I agree that Mutiny and Sparta are both good teams and have the potential to push for the top spot, along with Odyssey, who is currently in 3rd. But are you assuming that Player Pass was not also used against Sting Sanchez?
It was. By both Solar Royal and Solar Formerly Rush-Nero. Sanchez won anyway, without using Player Pass.

While that may be true about the Solar teams Sanchez has historically used guest players in every tournament, game, etc. Granted it was normally the same few girls from Guiterrez, who are now on Hilton I believe. For someone from Sanchez to talk about player pass / guest players is pot calling the kettle black.

No one called anyone anything. Just replying to the implication that Mutiny and Sparta had their standings affected by playing against teams using player pass when it has been used in games against Sanchez and other teams as well this season. All teams use guest players in tournaments for various reasons, and we better all get used to teams using player pass for their own reasons, as well, at least for the near future. Using it as an excuse for a score will become as old as blaming it on the refs. For now, it's all a part of the game.

I find the whole player pass thing distasteful. I'll concede that it provides opportunity for the occasional girl getting development by playing up, but that is likely so rare as to laughable.
Anyone paying attention recognizes it for what it is a d that is an effort to ensure the big clubs have more than their share of teams in each age group of LHGCL.
My girls play in D1 so other than the possibility of 03's good enough to play up rarely coming back down, we don't really see it, but it is patently unfair to the independents.
But I also agree that it is something we have to get used to or have our girls play in PPL where I understand it is not allowed. It's too bad that it comes down to money, but inevitable I guess...

For everyone with their panties on too tight, I predict that the Player Pass Rule for the girls will be amended in the near future to somewhat match the boys rule - which is... Your darlings will be able to play up a level or at the same level but not down.

But I understand, its more fun to complain into cycberspace for everyone and noone to hear rather than be patient and allow process to happen.

Don't rule out Mustangs they've had good games and beat a team that is in must of yall's top team to take the top spot. I don't think you can blame player pass on them. Right?! Congrats to Sanchez solid backs and great attacker. But anything can happen we are only half way.

Excuse me? Would you like to explain yourself saying that Sting 03 Goodman used guest players to improve their chances of hanging onto the top spot? I'm not sure that you know what you are talking about.

Sting Goodman added a D1 player to their roster midseason last year because the D1 Sting team roster was filled at the time. They also floated down another D1 player in a couple games in the second half of the season.

Not sure that either player helped them get or keep the top spot but it is what happened.
