PPL Week 6 predictions D1 and D2
PPL Week 6 predictions D1 and D2
Observation deck:
Not many goals being scored in D1 outside of the top 4. All of the bottom 4 D1 teams combined are just putting over half a goal into the net a game on average. The top 4 are averaging 2 a game. In D2, teams are giving up goals from top to bottom with the exception of FM United (giving up 1 goal per game). Two of the top 3 in D2 are finding the net often, but so are their opponents (Lady Aztecs and Thunder with 22 allowed combined). Should be interesting to see how things look in the spring after promotion / relegation.

Re: PPL Week 6 predictions D1 and D2
FMU has to win and can take 3rd from Thunder on points - if they lose vs Gremio next week - forget it.
As for finding the net - the top teams are doing just that - GA? - if you look, most goals against Thunder and Ladies, have been by the top teams - that are finding the net. Thunder scored 3 and Xtreme? (who?) put in 5 goals on the ladies. That's 8 of their 12. Granted, Xtreme doesn't appear to be a scoring team because not counting the 5 vs Ladies, they appear to be on par with all the other teams.
GA Thunder - the Ladies and Gremio scored 7 of 10 goals.
I expected more from FMU as they have shown well in the past and now appear to be the only ones from last season D1 that have been able to represent. They better bring their A game. I expect FMU GA count to go up next game and be on par with the rest - GAME of THE WEEK - GREMIO vs FMU

Now i am curious to see if points carry over from division to division or how that will work. I'm sure everybody goes back to 0 and the points start all over in the Spring.

Re: PPL Week 6 predictions D1 and D2
In D1 It's a 4 team race between Evolution, Sting North, Andromeda and Sting East for who wins the fall. No promotion there though. Based on the standings, GSSC Thunder Black looks destined for relegation. It's a toss-up to some degree to see who will be joining them between FCD East, WF Xpress, NTFC and LP Shankly.
In D2 the only team who looks to be outside the bubble right now would be Texas Thunder in D2 sitting at 15 points with no more games to play. Gremio (15 pts), Lady Aztecs (14 pts) and FM United (12 pts) all have 2 games left and any could finish in the top 2 based on different scenarios. Lady Aztecs appear to have the "easiest" path as Gremio and FMU play this Saturday. If FMU beats Gremio on Saturday and the Lady Aztecs tie, the last weekend will be pretty interesting with all 3 heading into the final game with 15 points.
Not a big fan of starting over again in the spring, but there's no other way to do it in this system. It might be better if it were a 10 game schedule.
