03 Preseason Rankings- Landscape Changes

Post by Barca on 05/08/15, 05:24 pm

IMHO Rankings recalibrated based off of newer information.
The rankings below do not reflect an FBR type of mathamatical equations whatsoever.
No research needed. Just grass roots information and some common sense.

2. Sting G
3. FCD Elite
4. FCD Premier
5. Dallas Texans Scott
6. Sting Hilton
7. Dallas Texans South
8. FW Black
9. Texas Spirit (Rush)
10. Cosmos
11. FCD Red
12. Sting F
13. Andro
14. D'Feeters
15. Mutiny

D2
1. Sting Sanchez
2. Sparta
3. Triumph
4. DT Midcities
5. Odyssey
6. LP Barnes
7. Mustangs
8. Sting Skife
9. Andro
10. Sting Dunstan
11. DT FW
12. FCD Blue
13. Cruz Azul
14. Solar
15. Mutiny

Any new updates?

Did something happen to Mutiny White? I think last years team should rank higher than last unless this is a whole new team.

Oh yeah looks like Barca is a sting Sanchez parent and they don't like mutiny. lol that's why.   I will say this, if sting sanchez does the same thing they did last year where every week they borrowed players from Hilton or Gutierrez -then yes they should come first like they did last year.

D3 (come on we all know it is)
1. Sting Sanchez
2. Sparta
3. Triumph
4. DT Midcities
5. Odyssey
6. LP Barnes
7. Mustangs
8. Sting Skife
9. Andro
10. Sting Dunstan
11. DT FW
12. FCD Blue
13. Cruz Azul
14. Solar
15. Mutiny

I would agree with the top 3 but I'm adding FCD Blue to the mix in top 4. They are consistent, will not lose to most of these teams then it will be just a case of can they score. Write them off at your peril. Yes Mutiny at the bottom wont happen either. Good luck all 03 teams this season

Top 4-5 including SRSA you are doing well. DT Scott at 5? I believe you have gotten too much 100 degree sun or too much happy sauce, I think they are 9-12 and will be competitive.

1. Solar Chelsea(Still the Queens or at least Princess to SRSA)
2. FCD Premier (Solid all around, IMO coin flip with Sting G)
3. Sting G (Great O, D? will lose or draw 3-4 games season)
4. FCD Elite (Solid but not as good as top 3)
5. Sting Hilton (Played well last few months Top 5)
6. Dallas Texans South (Mystery Box?)
7. FW Black (Competitive and Gutsy I predict .500 3-4 Draws)
8. FCD Red (Talented and Athletic will compete 8-10)
9. Dallas Texans Scott (Top 10...but 8, 9, 10)
10. Texas Spirit (Rush) (Top 11 ... but 9, 10, 11)
11. Sting F (Physical 11-13 and will give up lots more goals)
12. Cosmos (Simply lost too much talent)
13. Andro (Not surprised if they finish 10-12, 9 would shock)
14. D'Feeters (here by default 13-15)
15. Mutiny (hope they impress but 12-15 is reality)

Agreed. Recent FCD 03 Blue results have been good. I'd move them up a few notches.
But we are talking about a team that was winless in league play last year. Some upgrades this offseason, but still lots to prove.

As for the rest of the new, expanded D2
Mutiny White will be in the top half of D2.
LP Barnes and DT Mid Cities not so much.
I agree with Barca's chart that Sting Dunstan will be the best of the new teams in the league, but I doubt they'll challenge anyone for promotion. Top 4 will earn a spot in LHGCL 2016-17  D2

Trust me, DT Scott will be a dangerous team, don't overlook them. I predict they will challenge for mid-table, maybe better. They've always had a top-notch defense and they've added to that. Now they have an attacking third to match and if RS keeps them passing stronger, harder, faster they will have a fantastic year.

And, they have the best "parent" meetings ever!

I think Barca has Andro Blue (#9) ahead of Sting Dunstan (#10) but I agree with you that Dunstan will be the best of the newbies. Other than the win over FCD Red in the Tut, FCD Blue's other Tut wins were against a PPL team and 2 relegated D3 teams. Combine that with them going winless in league play has me not sold on them just yet. I could see Odyssey contending for a top 4 spot ahead of FCD Blue. They've always been a solid team that has finished top 4 in D3 the past couple of years. Also agree with DT MC and Barnes finishing lower and Mutiny way higher than last.

Maybe Yankee boy is going to OKC next weekend and he can meet all the Dads in the hotel parking lot for a good old fashioned "parent" meeting like RightWingDad was referring to. Maybe he will rank DT Scott higher after that Laughing

Mid-table would be 7th or 8th in the new expanded D1
That sounds about right for them
Possible sniffing out the 6th spot.
I agree, they had a productive offseason!

Lots of Traffic and 6-12 will get messy. Probably 8-10 teams who could and will compete for these 7 spots. No disrespect.....actually I thought putting Scott as high as 8th was a real compliment. Basing my opinion strictly by my eye balls and they tell me no way this is a Top 5, 6-7 possible but would surprise me and I know Im not alone here.....real confident at 8-10. Will be fun to watch!

Yanks, have you seen them play recently? Is your insight first hand knowledge or are you just going on last year's stats and results?

Caught a game or two this summer tourneys, unless you've signed two or three superstars I'm unaware of I'll stick with 8-10. Honestly if this is your daughters team I would be flattered with that assessment after last years rollercoaster ride.

Yanks, my dd played there last year. She learned a lot and made some great friends. We've moved on since, but I believed they signed 4 very strong players both defensively and offensively that will make a big difference. I'd put them 5th to maybe 6th if they stay healthy and this year they'll be able to play a solid 4 back that they did not last year.

Not sure superstar is in my vocabulary for a 12 year old at this point.

If club pass rule change occur and is, as I have heard from a reliable source, to be similar to boys classic rule, then landscape should look something like:

D2
Sparta
Mutiny
Odyssey
Triumph
Sting Sanchez
Mustangs
Andro
FCD Blue
Sting Skife
Sting Dunstan
LP Barnes
DT Midcities
Cruz Azul
Solar
DT FW

We have played them all, many of them since 2015 signing.

I think Barca and Yanks on the Pitch may want to reconstruct their order. Considering Sting G lost to FCD Red. Also, two weeks ago I hear Solar Chelsea struggled with DTS '04 for a half (0-0), and the mystery DTS '03 team defeated the Sting Dunstan '02 team 2-1 in the Dallas International Festival. Are those rumors true?

I agree there will be some movement, I did not watch games this weekend but IMO Sting G could drop 2-3 spots and FCD Red has proved they can beat almost everybody and sneak up 2-3 spots or loss/draw to lesser teams. DTS could easily be 3, 4, 5. Hard to tell with all the player movement this year.

I wouldn't read too much into early august results.
It's kind of like preseason NFL.
Many girls are out of town and others are out of shape.
I'll stand by my previous prediction.
Sting G and their new and improved lineup will win D1.

As for D2, it's hard to bet against Sparta right now.
I believe they'll take over the d2 top spot

Pasted this off LHGCL website, I'm sure the folks who already saw this are praying their teams get those top 7 spots, good info for those who have not seen this yet.

DI pool playoff matches will be played with 6 teams in 2 pools. Pool winners advance to play in a
final with the winner advancing to DI and all others move to DII.
DII pool playoff matches will be played with 4 teams in 1 pool. The pool winner advances to DII and
all others move to DIII.
U13 DI = 15 Teams
1st thru 7th place earn a BYE and remain in DI***
8th thru 13th place earn a BYE and position in D1 pool playoff matches***
14th and 15th place earn a BYE and move to DII
U13 DII = 15 Teams
1st and 2nd place earn a BYE and position in DI pool playoff matches*** ONLY TWO BUT WHO KNOWS WHAT SURPRISES THE LEAGUE WILL GIVE US NEXT YEAR WHEN UFO'S LAND ON THE FIELD AND MAKE CROP CIRCLES.....SORRY CANT PLAY ON THOSE Twisted Evil
3rd and 4th place earn a BYE and remain in DII
5th thru 10th place earn a BYE and move to DIII
11th thru 15th place do not receive a BYE and must re-qualify There will be 4 open spots for DIII in
QT

FCD Blue Beats FCD Red beats Sting G beats Solar Gold = FCD Blue should be ranked #1 in the nation and will win the State Cup this year.
