Brim would not elaborate on the incident or say if any players have been suspended or kicked off the team. Brim said that coach Eric Ramirez is still employed by the district. UIL soccer teams can begin playing games Jan. 5.
"Not only is hazing prohibited by both the Lewisville ISD student code of conduct and the expectations outlined for LISD student athletes in the district's athletic handbook; hazing is a violation of the Texas Education code. We take these types of allegations seriously." Brim said. "Although we are prohibited by law from discussing disciplinary repercussions for a specific student, any consequences will be in accordance with the LISD student code of conduct."
Ramirez, who started the girls soccer program at Hebron in 1999, did not return phone calls or respond to emails seeking comment. Ramirez was named SportsDay's All-Area Coach of the Year in 2014 after leading Hebron to the Class 5A state championship.
Hebron missed the playoffs last season.
