Don't let that Champions League label fool you, Mama.

The overly physical, Solar Grado bunch has the edge in this one.

Good point koba. Let's go ahead and call grado the winner of this one.

I think this coming new year is Solar Grados' year. This tourny will be a run up to the main stage. Their entrance into LHGCL D1.

They deserve it. Competition might be a little easier next year.

Texans red
Ntx Celtic

Grado
Fcd red

Interesting group of teams.

That stinks beautiful day for soccer. Looks like solar grado would have run the table. Crazy how screwed up the leagues are with age pure and club byes. Apl team ties a lh d-1 team and a d-2 team probably would have dominated the whole thing over 2 d-1 teams.

It still comes down to who's the biggest and most physical. At 13 years old the month you were born in still makes a huge difference. I have yet to see a team other than LPE (who is as much an ECNL team as any) wow me with extraordinary skills. DTS is still fast and Texans - Patterson are physical. Everyone else is a toss up. Grado looks like who they are, an 03 team that stayed behind and are playing 04's

I also have noticed teams with "monopolies" due to location are fairing pretty well after all these changes...DTS (as always), the WTX teams, the ETX teams, etc.

and yes that APL team wasn't bad easily a mid table D2 team, however you really did want to check birth certificates ;-)

Well the Michael brown tournament was quite interesting. D-2 teams #1 and #2 in gold bracket and the d-1 teams were #4 and #5. Talk about mid table d-2 teams. Foxy mama says whaddup wit dat.

My guess is they either scored more goals than their opponents or gave up fewer...yep as I thought, that's what happened.

If you look at the "predictive power" rankings, why is it a surprise. Few of the top d2 teams are very, very good and in a perfect worlds should have been assigned to D1. There is also a big physical difference between teams full of 7th vs 8th graders Smile

After this weekend, foxy has been asking herself:scratch: since jurgoff shrimp is gone should lh and other leagues have a reset tournament to make the divisions more sensible?
