I see your point. I understand DT Mansfield being in it since it was a Texans Tournament, I doubt they would turn away their own teams. But who was on the waiting list that would have been better?

4. Team lacks aggression except for couple of players and they play boring defensive 4-3-3. Rumors are there possible coaching change coming fall and have potential. Watched them several times, couple of players play like they don't want to play this beautiful game.

5. LPE is solid and not lacking in any area as far as I saw. As physical as any team I watched. Not sure they have depth though beyond their starters.
5. If they don't get ECNLed , we won't see them here next year.

6. Sting Higgierrez ... they will be the biggest wildcard for next season. Some inconsistent flashes of brilliance coupled with some really dubious style of play leads me to believe they have what it takes, but whoever takes over this team next year will really have their work cut out for them to coalesce this group.
6. Could be a good physical team. The parents are nuts. AG will put in a solid team next season

7. RE the Refs. I gotta say, the games I saw were either officiated by some of the best in the business while other games the exact opposite. No in between. Perplexing.
7. Leave them alone

Congrats to all teams and glad to hear of no significant injuries other than one LPE player's broken collar bone. Here's to a quick recovery! And here's to '05G showcasing some great talent and showing soccer NTX is still very much relevant for this age year.

FCD red is a head scratcher for me. After wining the Vegas tournament, they don't even make it out of pool play in this one and get beat by a mid-level LH team. Was LV a fluke or are other teams developing at a faster clip?

its a reason people dont talk much about DTS in any age group and thats because its about as direct as their soccer style. They win. Simple as that. You may get some chatter after they lose but outside of those lines there is nothing to be said. DTS05 probably could beat the 04 squad in a straight up match. No guests No ECNL girls. With ECNL girls I'd predict a tie. And with that being said GA will have him an '04 state cup trophy one way or another.

No....05 DTS would draw with "the future" 04 DT ECNL plus 2 of the "03 DT ECNL" players....

That 03 ECNL is pretty tough.

Guessing that maybe yours or Cam's kid plays for 05 DTS ... If so, do you think they will all stay together given the option now to participate in the ECNL or USSDA at U13 next year?

No my kid doesn't play for the DTS05 but looking at their rankings why would they split up if they are the 1 team in Texas #15 in national maybe they should just build a bench up stronger

Stay together and do what? Rule LHGCL? Dominate JDL? They may come together and guest play for GA as his 04 and 03 do now through dual rostering but the smarter more ambitious parents will seek higher level of play and training through those ECNL and DA opportunity. My DD don't play for DTS but word of advice Cam.... don't get caught up in gotsoccer rankings and miss out. You missed all that hoopla during the academy and early select years. Whole new ball game now sir.

No my daughter is in the Primetime League U7 is there something wrong guess playing up I don't think if the players is that good and can hang with the 03"and 04"why not I mean if you guys are doing the right tournament you will see a bunch of good competition LHGCL can before good touches and just do your good tournaments

Cam they can look at your stats on the forum in case you didn't know....they know your affiliation. You don't have to be that discrete because it's sort of too late. Don't worry, you'll encounter a lot of trolling and opinions but you right by being prideful and what not.

Ummm ... Holy. Lord.

I do feel ya though Cam -- great players should play up ... most do. However; There will be no "right tournament", nor will there be "good competition LHGCL" for 03s or 04s (and 05s for that matter) next year. Most of the players at the top level (including the majority of those from the 05 DTS side) will all be USSDA or ECNL within the next few months.

Yes. But rather than the Frontier Conference for U14+, it will be a Texas Conference only for the U13s ... much less commitment with less travel and only 3 required training days per week.

That looks accurate ColtMcV --

The USSDA likely isn't happy with their new clubs that want to keep the ECNL distinction for the time being ... And the ECNL surely doesn't like that some of their clubs have decided to go the USSDA direction as well, but there has yet be any mandate which restricts having both to this point.

I suppose that it is entirely possible that you read that somewhere and that that is how it is being dictated to Clubs/Teams. However, the USSF bylaws say different.

USSF Bylaw 603 - Section 2. An Organization Member (other than a Professional League) shall not discriminate against the participation of players, teams, coaches or clubs on the basis of that player, coach, team, or club’s membership in, or affiliation with, another organization. The Federation encourages its Organization Members to allow teams of all other Members to participate in tournaments sponsored by them or any of its organization members when the teams otherwise.

They encourage participation.........except for when they get really busy discouraging participation.
