    4. Texans
    5. Blitz
    6. Sting West A
    7. TFC Blue
    8. Liverpool Savage

although it appears it went more like....

    1. Sting F
    2. Texans
    3. Sting G
    4. Solar
    5. Blitz
    6. Sting West A
    7. Liverpool Savage
    8. TFC Blue

Maybe it's just me but it seems at a minimum Sting F and Sting G shouldn't be in the same bracket.

According to the results page the teams are seeded like this:

    Sting-F
    Solar-Shaw
    Sting-G
    Texans-Farley
    Liverpool-Savage
    Sting West-Adams
    Texas Blitz Black
    TFC Blue

Why should the two Sting teams be separated?

Another interesting point, Defeeters 00 is playing in the U12 bronze division.

Anyone care to comment on the strength of D'Feeters 00? Where do you think they rank among the 00's? They seem to have been in hiding and are ducking the Puma Cup competition. I mean really, the competition in the 99's bronze could not be much weaker. Those teams appear weaker than the 00 silver field. Just sayin.

Smartypants, I do agree with you regarding the seedings of Sting-G and Sting West. Hard to see how they don't have Sting-G seeded first. They've been the "Rodney Dangerfield" of the age group for a while as far as seedings go, so I guess that trend will continue into select.

Lostboy...I thought you would be glad that your team was in the Gold Division. Are you saying that you want to play in the Silver...where is the faith?[/quote]

If you know me your statement is foolish and you know it. I was just posing a question because I know Kirby's team has won several tournaments so I was confused on how these placements were made.

Davis kept the core he has always had, and yes, sadly had to cut a few, and added 6 solid Solar players. Time will tell true enough.

    VTFW,

I can't find your favorite team in either tournament. Where is Missimo playing?

Solar Red Solca/Missimo is resting on their laurels.

You asked me in a previous response why I thought Sting G and Sting F should be separated in pool play for this tournament. I think you answered the question yourself after a few seconds of thought but I'll elaborate nonetheless.

I think based on the results in the most recent tournament and given the field of participants in this particular tournament that Sting G should have been seeded #1. They've finished 1st and 2nd in the last two tournaments that had major participation from the top 10 teams. Sting F finished 3rd in the most recent tournament that included most of the top 10 teams and beat Shaw who beat Texans in that same tournament. I "believe.....read not sure...." that Sting F bested Solar Shaw a few times earlier this year as well but haven't played the Texans in a while. All totaled then I think that Sting F should have been seeded #2 in Puma cup thus putting them in a separate bracket from Sting G. The Texans and Solar Shaw have played each other either in pool play or the quarter finals of the last two tournaments. I would guess that those teams wouldn't mind seeing some different opponents this time around.

As always, Sting G is just hoping to be competitive with all these bigger, stronger, faster, more athletic, more physical, more skilled and extremely well coached teams.

Best of luck to all this weekend.

Could our schedules still change for PUMA CUP? Could some teams still not make even though they are registered? Sorry, new to his select stuff. I have heard that one team has parents wanting to get out of there contract because of false pretenses when contracts were signed. Call me naive but I can not believe some of the things I am hearing about 00 soccer teams.
