Re: Puma Schedule
Well, silver bracket gets quarters, semi's, and finals
The gold bracket gets just finals
Does anything seem wrong about that?

Re: Puma Schedule
i still don't get how PUMA did this tournament. The worse thing is the number of games the Silver division gets and the few games the Gold division gets. no one has been able to answer my original question about how the teams were put into these specific brackets?

I doubt you will get an answer on this forum...but you can keep asking.
Just remember that one definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.

Re: Puma Schedule
From what I could tell by the new schedules, here are the latest brackets:
Puma Cup
Brackets
Girls
U11 Girls Gold
Bracket A
LIVERPOOL REDS 00G SAVAGE (TXN)
STING 00 FRIEDRICHS (TXN)
STING 00 GUTIERREZ (TXN)
TEXAS BLITZ BLITZ BLACK 2000 (TXN)
Bracket B
DALLAS TEXANS 00G DALLAS (TXN)
SOLAR '00G (TXN)
STING WEST 00 - ADAMS (TXN)
TFC 00G BLUE (TXN)
Girls
U11 U11 Girls Silver
Bracket A
CLASSIC CLUB CLASSIC2000 (TXN – Irving Elite?) – moved
from bracket C
STING WEST 00 - WEST (TXN)
Texas Blast FC – new
GSSC THUNDER '00 (TXN) – moved from Bracket B
Bracket B
Samba 00 - new
AVALANCHE 2000 00G (TXN) Coach: Rick Margerison - moved from A
SOLAR WHITE 00 - DAVIS (TXN)
TEXAS LIGHTNING 2000G VAN ZANDT (TXN) – moved from C
Bracket C\D
HUFC 2000 BLACK (TXN) – moved from bracket B
DALLAS TEXANS 00 GIRLS SOUTH (TXN)
FWFC 2000 GIRLS WHITE (TXN)
GALAXY FC 00 RAMIREZ [Sparta?] – moved from Bracket A
STING EAST 00 GIRLS (TXN) – moved from bracket B
Ft WORTH UNITED 2000 GIRLS GOLD (TXN) – moved from A
Looks like the shuffling is due to new teams and if they get two more, maybe C\D split and then the whole playoff scheduled gets whacked? Gotta love it, three days before kick off.

They've been the "Rodney Dangerfield" of the age group for a while as far as seedings go, so I guess that trend will continue into select.
You asked me in a previous response why I thought Sting G and Sting F should be separated in pool play for this tournament. I think you answered the question yourself after a few seconds of thought but I'll elaborate nonetheless.
I think based on the results in the most recent tournament and given the field of participants in this particular tournament that Sting G should have been seeded #1. They've finished 1st and 2nd in the last two tournaments that had major participation from the top 10 teams. Sting F finished 3rd in the most recent tournament that included most of the top 10 teams and beat Shaw who beat Texans in that same tournament. I "believe.....read not sure...." that Sting F bested Solar Shaw a few times earlier this year as well but haven't played the Texans in a while. All totaled then I think that Sting F should have been seeded #2 in Puma cup thus putting them in a separate bracket from Sting G. The Texans and Solar Shaw have played each other either in pool play or the quarter finals of the last two tournaments. I would guess that those teams wouldn't mind seeing some different opponents this time around.
Well.... now that you can only play with your real roster( I see trying to steal Harr goalie didn't work out) maybe they consider that. What a great match up......Good luck!!

Re: Puma Schedule
BP,
I agree with you and Sting G is looking fwd to the matchup and as I said, Sting G is just hoping to be competitive.
As for the goalie comment, I see you have partial information based on your observation, in reality, those kinda posts are best left for academy as this group is now select (I think you alluded to that as well).

So the Silver bracket gets quarters, but the gold doesn't even get semis??? What a joke!

Us, inferior Silver teams, need more games to compete with the "big boys" next week-end...

Looks like another change in the bracket. TFC now in Silver and Samba in the Gold bracket.

Solar Davis
Your right about the not so solid coach, the solar Davis girls looked good on
the puma cup, but that's because of the girls athleticism, this were top
players from two teams, now I see why he bailed out of the Texans and
Sting clubs, he was not producing with the girls he had, and left girls
out in the cold without a team just a week before signing. With in a
year teams that have Good solid, coaching will surpass this team.

Sounds like you were one of the ones left out in the cold.

Re: Puma Schedule
Goal13, I guess the proof will be in the pudding, but Davis has been a pretty successful coach at different levels.

Re: Puma Schedule
Looks like Davis's not so solid coaching has got his girls in the finals. Good luck to the Solar Davis camp this afternoon!
