CPP Questions

Post by BigEnchilada on 19/11/17, 07:00 pm

How does CPP work?
How does a player on 1 team roster within the same club transfer or become a guest player for another team in the same club for tournament or league game?
What paperwork is needed or is this done thru gotsoccer?

My understanding is that "CPP" or "Club Player Pass" is only a function of LHGCL in North Texas. I don't believe Plano or Arlington have this. Basically if there is a need for a team to CPP a player, you make a request to LHGCL and either you get approval or not. Then in gotsoccer you add the player to your game day roster. This is only for one game. You may request up to 3 CPP players per game during the season until the last three games? (not exactly sure) and then you can request only one.

For those tournaments that allow CPP, it makes things a lot easier for the team mgr. Sign into gotsoccer
While in the event roster, click add Club Player Pass. If she’s a player within your club, her name should pop up. You’ll need a medical form but usually no other paperwork. Tournaments that allow CPP often will cap the number of CPPs at 5 and may state that those 5 can be Guest or CPP...or a combination thereof. If you don’t see an orange tab for ‘add club pass player’ then that event probably doesn’t allow such

As always, read the tourament rules carefully including those for  online check-in

And another thing, eventhough there’s no coach’s signature required, You should always obtain permission from the CPP’s coach ahead of time. Due to some CPP abuse or misunderstandings , I know of at least one  Club that has established additional ‘in house policies’ that must be followed as well.
