OK, have we entered a dead zone before QT that I don't know about? Because it has gotten awfully quiet here. Think I will have to pass this story on just to give people something to talk about.

A teacher gave her fifth grade class an assignment: Get their parents to tell them a story with a moral at the end of it.

The next day, the kids came back and, one by one, began to tell their stories. There were all the regular types of stuff: spilled
milk and pennies saved. But then the teacher realized that only Janie was left. "Janie, do you have a story to share?'

''Yes ma'am. My daddy told me a story about my Mommy. She was a Marine pilot in Desert Storm, and her plane got hit.

She had to bail out over enemy territory, and all she had was a flask of whiskey, a pistol, and a survival knife.

She drank the whiskey on the way down so the bottle wouldn't break, and then her parachute landed her right in the middle of 20 Iraqi
troops. She shot 15 of them with the pistol, until she ran out of bullets, killed four more with the knife, till the blade broke, and then she
killed the last Iraqi with her bare hands.

''Good Heavens,' said the horrified teacher. 'What did your Daddy tell you was the moral to this horrible story?"

"Stay away from Mommy when she's been drinking."

My dd's QT preparation is somewhat unorthodox - 100+ fever and body aches. Good timing. I think I'll give her some saw blades and knives to juggle with as well.

So is everyone pretty happy with their brackets? I guess LH did a good job in the rankings because know one has been complaining.
    Good luck this weekend.

maybe this will work...i reviewed my rankings to look at who plays who and what i thought were the toughest/easiest brackets. I've included results below. The numbers generated for Strenght of Schedule (SOS) basically just sum their opponents ranking. The higher the better. Obviously there were a couple teams that i ranked differently than the QT committee.

I think everyone finally learned that LH monitors the boards and punishes the teams with the biggest loud mouth slanderous parents by seeding them poorly. This nugget of information is not doled out to the lower ages until it is too late. We, the 99's, and older age group parents learned the hard way as well. Shhhh....don't tell the 01's.

Too late. I, for one, have been watching all your comments very closely this summer so I know exactly what maddness we are getting ourselves into next summer.

Trying to learn from everyone elses mistakes first, then go and make my own.

Nice to know that I have a admirer(stalker). Kidding. Good stuff regarding the pick up games. I thought that was a great idea and glad to hear it went well.

Did anybody else notice that Celtic FC dropped big time in the seedings?
What happened at the last minute to move Celtic down?

Thanks. Wish I could take credit for it, but all I did was volunteer to help organize and spread the word. Hope it catches on.

I think no one wants to tempt fate by predicting either success for their dd's team or an ill-fated QT run for another team, and then getting a karmic bite on the butt this weekend.

And Clueless, hope your daughter is recovered very soon. I'm sure she's worked long and hard for the big dance this weekend, and she doesn't want to watch it from the bench.

No, but I am wondering who they are? And where did they come from?

For some reason I am thinking they were Odyssey...if that helps.

They were the former Odyssey team. The drop doesn't surprise me. To my knowledge they never play a tournament this summer. But they are a good group of girls...they may end up surprising a few people.
