Looking at the end of the year placings and the teams that switched clubs it seems that Solar Red did not register correctly under the LH rules by putting formerly FWUEG and in return Solar Blue is going to take the hit for it since they finished 3 last season in D3 and the NEW Solar Red finished 1. But it still does not add up to WHY FWFC gets to remain in D2 when they should be in D3. Who knows the real reason why this is all happening and where in all the LH rules does it state who can move up when a team does not follow the rules in registering a team?

I wouldn't say it was a case of the of FWU not following the rule. They simply chose to take Solar Red's bye rather than carry their bye with them. This way they are able to carry the history and ranking of the old Solar Red team. Solar owned both bye's based on the rule (and assuming that FWU had the 75% player limit) After determining how many teams they had, they may simply have decided to forfeit the FWU bye.

Solar owned both bye's based on the rule (and assuming that FWU had the 75% player limit) After determining how many teams they had, they may simply have decided to forfeit the FWU bye.

FWUEG did nothing wrong they went to Solar by taking 75% of their players AND their bye to DII and at first were called Solar Gold. Then when Red did not make, they became Red, just a color change. Then Solar used the DII Solar Red bye (because FWUEG had their own bye) to bring Solar Blue up from DIII. So Solar Blue's DIII bye has been open, since well let's say tryouts. Solar obviously payed the fee saying they had a returning team. They didn't produce a team, so that is when the last minute shifts occured. The only explanation is that LHGCL did not like the fact that Solar payed the fee and didn't produce a team, so they took away the Solar DII bye, pushing Blue back to it's own earned DIII bye and promoted the only remaining DII relegated team FWFC. Last year's Solar White did not make, and Hurst United took that slot by brining 75% of their girls to Solar, and had no bye.
So as the rules are now, the CLUB keeps the BYE and must produce a team a la FWFC did this year, or give it to someone like Hurst United was given a Solar Bye, again by bringing 75%+ of their girls with them, so they could switch clubs like FWUEG did.
After our U12 season the rules changed to those stated above. Before that to stay in your division, you had to keep what was called N+1. That meant more than 50% of your team. So if you had a 14 girls roster the previous season you had to come back with 8 or you went back to QT if you elected to do that or fold, or play elsewhere.
THAT IS THE WAY IT SHOULD BE IN MY OPINION, SO TEAMS STICKING TOGETHER MOVE UP TOGETHER AND CLUBS CAN'T CONTROL IT.
Hope this helps, the facts stated are true, but we still do not know the official reason for the switch, please keep that in mind. (lawyer talk) Smile

If what you say is true the only people LH is hurting is the players.
FWFC has 3 at the most returning players from last year. I know they picked up a lot of new players from Arlington from the bottom ranking teams. This season just may show how Arlington Division players compare to LH Division players, especially if the team does well. I hope they do well for the players and division sake. Otherwise FWFC players will be deflated, and the teams that play them won't be challenged. I agree they should have kept the N+1, playing is suppose to be about the players not the CLUBS.

    Just a thought.
I took a few seconds and looked around at the other age groups schedules and almost all the other age groups have at least the 1st weeks schedules posted for all 3 divisions. Yet in the 95's they only have D1 posted?

Could it be that this issue is not yet settled?

Or it was only settled recently, so they put D2 and D3 LHGCL at the bottom of the queue for scheduling.

    Coaches and managers,

Schedules for the upcoming fall season will be posted at a later date. U95s division II and III will not be playing games until after labor day weekend.

Please look at the attached letter for information about the season. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you for your cooperation and I apologize for the delay in the schedules.

I'm kinda po'd that U16 DII and DIII girls are not playing until after labor day. Can anyone explain why? My DD's team will now have to find games to play between now and then whereas we would be playing next week. LHGCL is not talking...what gives people?

Looking at last years results, the results of Summer Classic and yesterdays DI results I think DII will be an unpredictable dogfight.
