    Any chance of.....

Post  onthemove on Fri Jul 30, 2010 7:51 pm

Lake Highlands delaying some of the afternoon games because of the heat index? According to my local weather man the heat index in suppose to get in the dangerous levels tomorrow and Sunday. Has LH's ever delayed any games due to extreme heat...or is that just crazy talk?Smile Which, by the way, if the field have lights, why are'nt there games in the evenings so the heat is not quite as bad on everyone?

    Sorry for the rookie question:)

Sadly, the heat in N. TX is like this every year.

Looks like most all age groups are playing two games tomorrow, with 3-5 hours in between the games.

As long as you follow standard heat protocol (start hydrating the day before, healthy foods, etc.,..) your little gal will be fine tomorrow.

I recall seeing an article that said recommended no activity at a level that was below our average.
Obviously not written by a soccer or football coach in the Southern part of the country. Make sure she started drinking two days ago (if that helps)!
