The Lakers and Bulls both have a decent shot.

No question the heat won this tourney again, 3-0.

What I'll remember from this weekend is having a tournament trainer come to our field to check on one of our players, who had an injured ankle. Normally this would be a good thing. Help is on the way!

But this time, the trainer ran over another of our players with her golf cart. Hurt that player's ankle, too.

Wow. Looked like a rough weekend for NTX teams. OKC took both brackets.

One interesting thing about this tourney is that it was won by a team playing together for the first time. Some parents told me they merged seven kids off last year's team with 7 kids off another local squad that wasn't that good. They knocked off the Oklahoma City Hurricane squad that I understand finished second in OK last year to win the bracket, then topped Tulsa's Blitz, last year's state champs, to win the tourney.

I honestly wasn't that impressed with them, but they must be doing something right.

Maybe overlooked by Blitz which thought that they probably had it in the bag. Kudos to them for taking down the big dog!
