Now could someone smarter than me please explain how the two 4 team brackets get to have 2 teams automatically qualify for the round of 8, but the single 6 team bracket is only given one automatic bye to the round of 8. Something seems way, way off. You can assume that 2 or 3 of the wild cards might come from the 6 team bracket, but the set up seems ridiculous and poorly thought out. Let me know someone else's thoughts.

You got me... Last year's cross over brackets were played C1 v D2, D3, & C3 and D1 v C2, C3, & D3.

And I'd personally like to know how the defending champion gets seeded 4th out of 6 teams in the bracket given the playing arrangement?
