Sure.
A recreational league in your local area. In my opinion, most 5-6 year olds shouldn't be playing competitive soccer. And if you do choose to rush them into that environment, you certainly shouldn't be paying for professional coaching for kids this age ...
Talk about a money grab.

So at what age do you not think it is all about the money? Did you see the lines behind the cash registers at the signing parties? Those FB pictures are instant classics!

Funny brazos and yes, you certainly have a point. I despise the term and only used "money grab" due to the countless times I've been in opposition to that argument.
To answer your first question --
It ceases to be a money grab when you get something of value for your $. You know ... When your kid has the potential of gaining something out of professional training, which, in my opinion, tends to happen with more consistency around age 7 in the majority of kids.

It depends on the child, for instance if you have a child with more focus and needs structured coaching then its not a money grab.
Rec is great for most kids however, if you're blessed with a kid that isn't tumbling on the grass during practice, you will want to head towards the golden gates of academy soccer.
