    True,

Since they are calling bracket 2 B & C they should take the top team from A, B & C. Then have the wild cards.

    and you bought that......

That by itself should show why the TD had no clue in what is being done........how does seeding got anything to do with coaching conflicts????

You seed teams AFTER accepting, and BEFORE scheduling. Coach's conflicts come into play DURING scheduling......

So TD is saying FCDP lost the #1 PLD seed because they can't play at 10pm on Friday? , and FWFC Red got seeded high because of what again..........weird

While I agree the TD's excuse is lame, from what I've seen of the teams (FWFC Red and FCD White) so far on the field, I think he has them seeded pretty well.

I don't disagree with you, but I don't see how either of the two should be in Gold ahead of Blitz United Black or Extreme FC.

Easy, The teams requested to be in silver. Some teams were asked if they would be willing to move up but did not want to move up. The TD let teams move down(Blitz and Arkansas)IMO because they were out of town teams.

    I disagree with this.

FCDW lost in the last minute to another good D2 team and FCFWR beat a Plano team that was fortunate to be in D3.

FCDW is a good team that will be in the mix at the end of the season.

So, the TD let's out of town teams come to Plano and intentionally "sandbag", so they can win a pot-metal trophy? That in itself is enough reason to seek out alternatives next Labor Day.

These out of state teams do what they can to achieve top regional gotsoccer rankings. Once attained, you should be held accountable to play at your level.

I fully understand some "bubble" team requesting to play silver...by all means let them.

However, when you have teams with top 10 NTX gotsoccer rankiings and top 30 regional rankings playing silver (I guess through a request), well, enough said. Evil or Very Mad Rolling Eyes

We were never asked to move up. When I emailed TD he said because of coaching conflicts we were stuck. I said I would even switch with FWFC if they wanted to.

Our request was made to Chip immediately after the brackets were released...it was very evident that whoever bracketed these teams was either playing favorites, or downright oblivious to rankings/records/etc...

Chip replied that everything would taken care of last Friday... Rolling Eyes

Oh well, time to stop griping and let the girls play! Very Happy

After all of this, let's all hope for no RAIN!! cheers

Maybe the out of town teams are "trying new formations"

FCD and Feet met in the final, with FCD winning 1-0. Here's the link:

Now, we're both in the same bracket and play each other in the first game!
