FCD and Feet met in the final, with FCD winning 1-0. Here's the link:
    http://www.gotsport.com/rankings/event.aspx?EventID=6386&GroupID=83642

Now, we're both in the same bracket and play each other in the first game!

    That's what I have been pointing..........and that's only U13G. affraid

Not that it matters, but both FCD and Feet are also ranked #1 and #2 in NTX by Gotsoccer, FCD ranked #1 in Region 3, Feet ranked #3, FCD ranked #12 and Feet #45 in National Gotsoccer ranking.

Indeed, the only place these two are ranked lower than the #1 PLD seed is in U12 LHGCL standings, but then FCD won State Cup after U12 season end scratch

And if LHGCL U12 standing was used for seeding, how the heck DFW Tornados which hasn't kicked a D1 ball yet get ranked above FCD White and Solar 98 U12 D1 finishers? TFC, TSN, FWFC Red (U12 D2 and D3 LHGCL teams) get seeded higher than FCD White?

Coaches' conflict my foot......... Wink silent

And the cherry on top of ice-cream, 2 teams advance out of 4 teams bracket while 1 team advances out of 6 TEAMS bracket..... Twisted Evil and then they throw in 5 WCs.

I think there is a good chance this year a WC will be in 2010 PLD Finals.....

I think there is a good chance this bracketing is incomplete. There's bound to be a revision at some point.

This two-advancing-automatically out of Bracket A, in particular, is incomprehensible. Clearly, Bracket B is the "bracket of death" in this tourney and, therefore, the first team listed in Bracket A can not be considered the "top seed."

TD is tweaking the playoff qualifiers a little bit...but still gifting a top 4 seed in the quarterfinals to the 2nd place team in Bracket A. I still don't understand the logic because the 6 seed (at best) is guaranteed a top four spot in the playoffs, but they are adding another team from the Crossover Bracket so there are now only four wildcard teams.

Tweaking game times is a good thing...considering that this time yesterday the Silver flight's championship game was scheduled to happen in between the two semi-final games, which would have been a neat trick. confused

Per tournament director, schedules are now finalized. No obvious changes that I noticed at first glance.

My experience is that bracketing is usually unfair to some team every tournament. Some time in your favor others not so much. Im just glad its in my teams favor....for once. But if the team plays bad its irrelevant.

Also, the outcome is a given in tournaments when 2 to 4 of the top rated D1 teams participate. Those teams will always be in the finals and the others play for experience.

Is their anyone on this forum that believes FC Dallas, Liverpool or Defeeters wont be one of the teams in the finals? So the question is; Will their be a possible spoiler?

It would not be too surprising. On any given day, any D-1 team can play that role. That's why they're in D-1.

While there hasn't been much play-time yet to see how teams might have been impacted over the summer, historically speaking, when they're firing on all cylinders, Solar Red and Solar Gold can spoil anybody's party. And I think your team may be rapidly gaining a similar reputation.

Just so that there are no surprises or complaints come Sunday afternoon, the seeding for the quarterfinals will be as reflected on the "standings" link and not the "schedule link"

The top two teams from Brackets A and B advance along with four wildcard teams.

    Quarter-Finals A
    Bracket A #1
    Wildcard #4

    Quarter-Finals B
    Bracket B #1
    Wildcard #3

    Quarter-Finals C
    Bracket A #2
    Wildcard #2

    Quarter-Finals D
    Bracket B #2
    Wildcard #1

    Semi-Finals A
    Quarter-Finals A Winner
    Quarter-Finals D Winner

    Semi-Finals B
    Quarter-Finals B Winner
    Quarter-Finals C Winner

    Final
    Semi-Finals A Winner
    Semi-Finals B Winner

The craziest thing about all of this is that you could conceivably have one or more wildcard teams make the qtr finals with very little point accumulation. I would not be surprised to see a single digit point total make it in.

With all but two teams advancing, this is almost as good as the Stanley Cup playoffs ...

at least in stanley cup, #7 and #8 seeds have as strong a chance as any to win it all. Cool
