If I recall correctly, you called someone clueless recently, and yet here you are making very uninformed statements. No top 00 team is a one man (girl/player/DD) team. Sting Friedrichs is certainly not a one player team. That statement is actually rather laughable, all things considered. Nice try though.

I agree with you VTFW on most top teams aren't one man/girl teams but there are players that if lost would hurt some teams very much. I would even throw my team into that hat if we lost one key player it would hurt us a ton.....no shame in that. It's not disrespecting or taking away from the rest of the dd's but I think we all have that one player we would rather not lose.

It is so funny to see KATCON come on here and rip people for having alternate screen names but yet FREESHOES always makes an appearance when the pot needs stirring. Why don't you put those FREESHOES on your baby since they are right there with you...and funny how either in the 00s or 99s FREESHOES and KATCON are always pushing Fredrichs issues over at Sting. My dd is not with Sting, I just happen to be a fan of the "big girl" and her team. The players are equally awesome and did well up in the 99 bracket in some Oklahoma friendlies a few weeks ago, I believe. Sting F '00 will do very well in the Bob Wiseman Tourney.

I don't take your comment as a disrespect to the rest of the team. What was amusing to me about FreeShoes' comment was that, for as long as I've been on this site and TM, posters have been critical of Sting F as a team with no standouts, studs, or top athletes. So now to hear the team called a one player team is quite amusing, particularly as the player in question (no doubt a top player in the age group) has only been on the team for a year and Sting F has been a top team in the age group for multiple times that. The key takeaway here is T-E-A-M. As I've said many times on here, 1 player or even 2 players can be shut down. Its hard to shut down an entire team. Sting F is a top team because shutting down any 1 or 2 players won't get you a win.

Me and a parent on your team had that exact conversation yesterday. Stinghorns have been together for three years and have been one of the top teams before adding that player. Like you said that player just joined the team what...6 months ago? Sting F is a team that plays hard from start to finish and are very fun to watch.

I don’t think that dependant is the right word. Sure teams will game plan around the player you are thinking about, and Sting will take advantage of that. That’s just good coaching. So pick your poison…cause more often than not they will score on most teams one way or the other.

And…in my honest opinion I would say their GK is the player they would “miss” the most.

Don't worry about feeding me the BS you spout about your parents- keep spooning it to the ones that need the reassurance that this new girl is not more important than their dds that have carried the team to this point- Fredrichs has always been a good recruiter (full of hot air) not a good coach...There is a difference...That 00 team is full of great dds with talent and will have a better chance at success when Sting hands that team over to a coach more select level experience. Great talent will only get you into a select league; great coaching is the key to winning long term through player development not player replacement...

Select level experience does not a great or even good coach make. And I think most if not all of the parents on this team would disagree with your assessment/implication that their DD has not developed under Len's coaching. Will he be able to successfully coach the team into U-13, U-14, or U-15? That remains to be seen. Same is true of all of the coaches coaching teams at U-11. Finally, show me one top team that does not actively recruit or hope for top talent/upgrades to come along. That is how all of the top teams at every age group for the top clubs were built and maintained. Study that.
