Well the schedule says Saldivar...the coach across the field...was Saldivar.
So maybe it was #103...but FBR says #17.

It was definitely #17 you beat. His top players were busy playing in the LHQL game against #6 at 10:30 AM yesterday where they suffered a loss of 6-0. Sting has managed to hurt themselves again.

#17 had 2-3 actual players there during the game. The team was made up of 4-5 2010’ players and other 09’s due to the game unable to be rescheduled. Take nothing away from the team we played, but it definitely was not the actual team. Next week will be back to normal as a few were out of town, and others in the Jr League game.

The forum is back in full swing I see, lol!!!

Based on the results from this weekend, JGCL is going to have some, shall we say, interesting results??? They should have installed a run rule.

Does it matter your team had 4-5 10s playing weren't you guys playing a full 10 team?

Most coaches will self-impose a run rule. Running up the score like this does not help anyone. It demoralizes the kids on the losing team and speaks to the character of the winning team's coach. What is the point? If your team is good soccer people already know that.

Except a Classsic D1 bye may come down to goal diff. I think lots of scores will be run up.

All you have to do is win them all and margin does not matter. In addition, somewhere between a 3 and 6 goal lead, depending on the league, you do not get any extra "points".

I tried looking it up on the website and it seems that there is no limit on the goal differential per game. They should just do a playoff game if two teams are tied in points after two seasons.

4. End of Season Tie Breakers: If two (2) or more teams are tied in the number of points, the tie
will be broken as follows (except as stated in 6 below):
a. Winner of head-to-head competition.
b. Team with most number of wins.
c. Fewest goals allowed in season games.
d. Most goals scored in season games.
e. Goal differential (goals scored all season minus goals allowed all season.
Team with highest differential wins higher position in standings.
Maximum of 3 goals for or against allowed per game).
f. Best record against common opponents.
g. The team with the fewest yellow and/or red cards will finish in the higher position.
NOTE: Only points accumulated in LHGCL play (regular season) will be used for this
calculation.
h. Elimination game(s) if time permits. Opponents determined by random draw if more
than two teams are tied for one position.
i. Coin toss.
j. In the event a game or games have been forfeited, if any other of the tied teams played
the opponent that forfeited to the other tied team(s), then all the games against that
opponent will be omitted before calculating the points and/or standings.

We all should know that the top 10 FBR teams should walk into D1 LH, why even go to qualifying? I guess it’s just protocol. It’ll be the usual suspects for the next two -3 years.

Thanks Terps! This is most likely the same rules... notice how the standings are placing teams with the same amount of points highest that have no goals against then it goes to most goals scored. This is why Spirit isn’t higher in the standings than teams with a lesser goal differential. The tiebreaker will never get to goal differential so teams should call off the dogs after so many goals and focus on ensuring the shutout more than anything.
