New Solar 10G Team

We are excited to announce a new Solar 10 Girls team based in Grapevine.  The team will be coached by current Solar JDL coach Tony Cavalle and current boys and former ECNL coach Pablo Gonzalez.  We have a small group currently, but are looking for girls to add for the spring season.  

Coaches Cavalle and Gonzalez have a strong history of developing players, sending numbers of players to JDL, FDL, and ECNL programs.  They will use the same training and development plan to grow and prepare this team for the next steps.  We are looking to train the girls for long term success, not worry about short term results.  That being said, the goal is to be as competitive as possible.      

Currently, we will train on Fridays.  After the holidays we will move to two days a week as we prepare for the season.  We also have opportunities to play games on Fridays so we will take advantage of that.

Training:  6 pm - Friday 12/7 – The Clariden School Gymnasium – 100 Clariden Ranch Rd, Southlake, TX  76092

If you are looking for a team or just touches, come check us out.  This Friday we will have a session that includes a scrimmage.  The weather looks rough, so we will be indoors.  Response so far has been great, and we are excited to get started.  There is no commitment to check us out.

My daughter has been coached by both Tony and Pablo, and it’s been a great experience. She continues to learn and develop as a player, but still has fun and enjoys going to practice.

Our first session went great, but we are still looking for a few girls.  We are planning a full schedule for the the rest of the winter and spring.  This is shaping up to be a strong team with a great group of girls.  We will have another training session this Sunday at the Grapevine Rec (1175 Municipal Way, Grapevine, TX  76051)  This is a great opportunity to check out the team and get some extra touches.

Training has been going well, and the team is shaping up nicely.  We are still looking for a couple of strong players looking to have fun, work hard and get better.  We have two training sessions left this year!
