I enjoyed our conversations on and off the field. Even though some of the leagues I created could have been seen as competition with PSA, he was always a professional. He even brought his teams to some of my tournaments. Here is his obituary.

Thanks for passing on this very sad news. My wife and I got to know Mike through PSA. I didn’t know him super well but he was a good guy and it seemed like he was the driving factor of a lot of the success and expansion of PSA to PSA2, Murphy and McKinney. He poured a huge amount  of time and energy into PSA soccer and had to deal with all manner of soccer crazed parents and coaches getting into trouble in the leagues.

He had a passion for soccer and did so much for the sport locally. His time has come way too soon.

For someone that has interacted with Mike for over 15 years, I can say that he had a love for the game and tried to be a positive influence. Not saying that I always agreed with his actions or methods, but I also didn't have to do his job, which I believe was thankless and tedious. I know he was helpful and went out of his way for people on numerous occasions and he will be missed.

I am probably in the minority as I have kids who started at Pre K at PSA and are now in college and also have kids who are just starting out in Pre K so I will much more time with the PSA and it will be odd to not have his presence up there.
