ECNL Schedule 19/20 Empty Re: ECNL Schedule 19/20

It looks like Oklahoma Celtic and Sting Austin may have a new competitor for the ECNL cellar.  Sting is already at a pretty dismal -49 goal difference through 2 weekends (how has this situation not gotten any better in the 3 years since they started?), but Colorado Pride is already at -51.

The Conference would be so much better if they picked up another club and had two groups of 6, an A group and a B group, with promotion and relegation at the end of each spring/fall season.

Just about every road trip for the Dallas teams (Central Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado) includes a visit to one club that is pretty much a complete waste of time for almost every age group.  What is the justification to fly/drive out a day early or stay a day late just to win 6-0?  We can find better competition with a scrimmage against just about any Lake Highlands D1 team and save the money.

Yes, except LH D1 teams are now from D3 and PPL. And you'd miss the Stuckey's 2 eggs and toast for $1 special.

Fixed it for you:

Houston - Dash and Albion
Central Texas - Classics Elite and Lonestar
Oklahoma - TSC and OK Energy
Dallas - Solar, FCD, D'Feeters, and Sting

Leave the other teams that didn't make the new league in ECNL.

Eight teams. 28 league games.  Every game is reasonably competitive. No plane flights except for 4 or 5 showcases (Surf, Silverlakes, Jefferson Cup, Wags, Disney).  During high school season, let those who want to play do it.  For any that don't, ensure US Soccer sets up Market Training Sessions every other weekend in January and February and on the other weekend combine the kids and set up local tournaments and have a futsal league during HS season.

OK Celtic probably won’t break top 5 again this year either, but I’m betting we improve. Last year-our first year to ever play competition of that level- the 05’s had 4 wins (Challenge twice, D’Feeters, and Sting Austin) 5 draws (TSC, Albion, Sting Dallas, Classics Elite, Sting Austin) and 9 losses. Of the 9 losses, 4 of them were by 1 goal, (Solar twice, Sting Dallas and FCD) 2 by 2 goals (Albion and Classics Elite) and we had 3 games where we played pretty awful and lost by 3 (FCD and D’Feet) and 4 (TSC) goals. I know our older teams struggled greatly, but our younger teams are going to be competitive. Our 06 team improved greatly last year as well and they added a couple of very strong players this year. The 08 team looks very strong and will compete. Sorry you had to make the trips to OK, but give us another year or two and it shouldn’t be a waste of your time and exceptional talent.

A losing weekend for Sting and D'Feeters on their trip to Houston (10 wins, 12 losses, 6 ties). I wonder when the last time that happened? Dallas teams on the wrong end of results for a weekend in Houston?

If you’re hurt because we’re throwing the horns down, stop allowing us to beat your ass.”

Good stat, not surprised. This is because FCD and Solar have depleted them of all of their talent by age 13. The depletion is at an all time high with the new DA status. Look and see how competitive these clubs are on the boys side (feet-they are not).

Just know that if your an elite player and approaching age 12-13 pack your bags like everyone else has. Please don’t get caught up with a “we are chasing a national championship”. How can you claim to be a national champion and not even play/beat teams in your city like FCD and Solar.
