Anyone know the dates of the next two tournaments ? I was told second one is Premier Cup in The Woodlands last weekend of January. Any hints of date/location of third ?

We are being told the 6 clubs are taking their top 2 teams each so no additional teams will be added (however I suppose they could mix up rosters). The 2nd meeting will be in January in Houston and the 3rd isn’t set yet, but possibly Austin. It was a great weekend for the girls & win or lose was fantastic development opportunity...can’t wait for January.

Re: Central Conference Pre-DA League for ‘08 and ‘09
Heard that one weekend might be teams split with something like players born in Jan-May in one bracket and Jun-Dec in another bracket (or simply the oldest in a club’s player pool on one team and the youngest on the other team). That’s an intriguing idea to combat Relative Age Effect, and one I imagine would be supported by US Soccer.
However, if this format is really a “league” over three tournaments, not sure that’s possible as it would mess up the standings (however meaningless they might be).

Hopefully not, the competition was great & would be wonderful to see how the girls develop throughout the series. You could could see them pushing harder as each game went on.

Did the teams that played in bracket #1 represent the best of each club (Solar, FCD, Texans, Lonestar, Houston Dash)? Is there a reason DKSC, Spirit or Sting did not participate -- are they not competing DA and instead joining ECNL?

My understanding is that it’s the 6 DA clubs that make up the Frontier division at U13 & yes it’s supposed to be the top representation.

DKSC and Sting do not have DA teams. I don’t know about Spirit.

Sting and Feet have ECNL teams. Spirit has no "national" league affiliation.
