Teams are either good to go or need 1 or 2 more to make... No big news, pretty anti-climatic...
I know that Solar, Texans, Sting Flanagan and Audrey are all set with 15 and ready to go... One thing of note: I hear Mustangs Bussey won't sign until 07/11/09... Officially, that means there are some pretty good players not signed at the moment....

Were there gag orders in the contracts or something?

Maybe no gag orders, but i certainly think there are some teams out there that are in danger of not registering 14 players, so if 1 or more players get worried and start lookin elsewhere some houses of cards are gonna tumble. Not a pretty picture, but how long should they wait?

Everyteam will make...Funny you might think they won't. If I had a team that only had 13, I would sign my kids school friend just to make it work. Worry about the rest later. Plenty of kids still out there. Now it is up to the coaches to devlop what they have. 20 teams in D1 has changed the system that is for sure

It does seem that most teams are all looking for those 2 players. I know we have 14 on FC Dallas 99 Blue but I still need a keeper and one more field players. There is the magic two kids I need. Good thing is that I got enough to go to QT!!!

North TX United 99 has 14 rostered and are ready to go to QT. We do have 2 spots left "open" on our roster we would like to fill though.

As long as the cost isn't too high with only 14 players, it is actually a benefit to the existing 14 players to not have a full roster...more playing time and development for those 14 girls

Injuries and illness can be a challenge, but it isn't that big of a deal at U11 to play out the season with only 14 players

AGREE! If you can afford to have only 14 it would not be a bad idea..not at all

FC Dallas 99G North are sitting at 14 as well and looking to pick up one more. Glad to hear that I am not the only one in that boat.

Here is a little noise: The FC Dallas webpage is saying the Texan Friendlies are cancelled....

You are correct, I agree 14 is a better number at this age. If we were going into spring and not fall/winter. We would be more comfortable with 14, but as it was said with cold and flu season on the horizon 1 or 2 more wouldn't be bad. Besides some dd might just find a great soccer home in the process.

Just be happy their playing and let them be little kids! They turn into young ladies soon enough and many will move on.
