The easy pick for the team most likley to tie Solar would be Grubb... They did it this Spring at SDL.

As for #2 at Texans... Woollard has looked real good since about March... I'd lean Woollard, but we will see Saturday..

    (Not sure with Group D)

Well, if Meja plays like they they did last weekend at the Aztec Friendlies, they could win in Group B, much less Group C... But we will see..

Have heard that the top player for Grubb went to the '98 Grubb team. Could be a different Grubb than in SDL

Be assured the team (grubb) didn't miss a beat and there will be 16 kids ready to do battle tomorrow night.... I think the team is looking very ready to play.

    In order Group A
    Solar
    Grubb
    TFC
    Mustangs
    Rudd

First 3 in Group B will be:
    Texans Woollard
    Texans Rangel
    FC Dallas East (Andro)

    Group C
Meja (should of played in B)
    Liverpool
    Infinity

    Group D
    And this is tuff!
    TExans Torrez
    Lady Patriots
    Sting Quintana
    [b]

Who do you think the solar tie will be with or is that just a safety predication? Good job going throug the brackets.

It'll be interesting to see who the real #2 texan team actually is....

I find it funny you put Rudd on bottom- Mustangs have been unable to beat Rudd in the past 2 meetings. Unless that got significantly stronger- which I heard is not the case- then I will put my money on Rudd to beat them and TFC.

Solar should have no problem with these 4 teams and then Grubb should have no problem with the other 3 teams. It will be interesting with the last 3 to see who ends up on top. Not sure who I would pick, they seem to be pretty even.

This is soccer..... it all depends on match ups and how kids play. Glad we have a break in weather, we can only be so lucky on QT weekend.

Puma cup is based on rankings of the teams from various sources and flighted into pools based on the rankings in a manner that will produce a semi-final round of the best four teams from group play.

King Tut is also based on rankings of the teams from various sources but flighted into pools of teams at similar levels so the comparable teams play each other in the same pools. Since this is a friendlies tournament there are no semis or finals but just results from pool play. It will give the teams a chance to play the teams that are supposedly at or near their same level.

I like Rudd very much, but at the end of the day, since the Memorial, thier results have slipped some.... And I put the Mustangs above them because they just played Sting Audrey real tuff last weekend having her tied 2-2 until late in the game, losing 4-2... The whole time playing with only 10 girls in 100 plus heat.... This week, they should have 3 or 4 players back in town... So I guess the Mustangs could even do better than that as well... No guarantees, We will wait and see....

Mustangs still seem to be a bit of a wild card. On paper they look to have tons of potential, but recently have seemed a bit challenged to get everyone to show up. Now that signing has occured, if they get down to business they can be a force.

With cooler temps on the way for the weekend, I have to say this is shaping up to be a great event. The brackets looks fair and the competition should be really good with QT the following week.

The PHP fields are in immaculate condition! Best I've seen them in quite some time.

Good luck to all the girls out there!
