FCD Rudd 1 - TFC 1... great game by both teams. Very closely matched game in perfect weather!

Very nice game by FCD Grubb. The girls played really well and took advantage every time they got an opportunity and played a great defensive game. Congrats! Also a nice game by the Mustang girls. They played hard but couldn't find the back of the net even though they had many opportunities. It was really fun to watch. I thought both teams were very highly skilled and played great. But, of course, it was frustrating to watch my Mustang girls get the short end of the stick. Now, on to Solar. Smile ....that should be fun. cheers

The main referee for this match was not approved to officiate at that position. He constantly made mistakes including a PK restart WITHOUT a whistle after a very questionable hand ball call. The head of officiating admitted that this was a clear mistake having him at referee. It's a shame that this game was decided by an official when it otherwise may have been a nil-nil tie. Both teams deserved better.

The game can be seen from many different perspectives. The hand ball was not questionable at all!!!!! I agree that both teams did deserve better. The game was clearly controlled by one team! See it as it was.

    wbfcd99,

A shame, but a very fun game to watch. Lots of fun watching soccer today. Mustangs v Rudd was another great game at 2-2.

Seriously Elk. I was at the end line watching the play with my 300mm telephoto lens and you're going to say you had a better look? The ball hit her in the side of the chest UNDER her arm. As for one team controlling the play, that may be, but how many balls hit the back of the net besides the PK? Sorry, but that game clearly could have been a nil-nil tie.

Rangel's keeper maybe touched the ball twice. We now know who's the second team For the Texans

Simple question-how many shots did you have on goal? You always come on here and have a reason or an excuse for everything-Seriously WBFCD99 is that what you play for a nil nil game? If that gives you satisfaction then yes, it was almost a nil nil game as there were no other shots that did hit the back of the net. If you want to go into select soccer with that type of moral victory-satisfaction then I'm telling you in the long run select is not going to be that fun for you. Moral victories don't add up in the W-L column in select soccer. Did you ever have a chance/opportunity to win the game? Simple question and now the answer? Sometimes it not the size of the lens but rather the eye (and the perception) looking through the lens that counts.

News for you, there is not a 2nd, 3rd or 4th Texans team. Only the 1st and then the 'others'.
