Let me make sure I understand this. 11 Dallas area teams are going to travel to Austin on a holiday weekend so that they can play each other and one San Angelo team.

Sting Royal is making this trip to play a bunch of D3 teams and why? I am going to go out on a limb and predict a Sting Royal victory in this tourney!

If I'm not mistaken, there's a tournament in Plano that same weekend. Shocked

Yes, you are right why should the any great D1 Team lower themselves to play the second class they call D3.

I do recall one D3 team that lost 1-0 to a pretty good D1 team in QT.

I bet you could buy a nicer trophy or ribbon for the gas money than you'll get from the tournament!

How about we all chip in and pay the San Angelo's team hotel bill and have them come up here.
I am sure we could use the Texans fields What a Face

But that would bring the weather back into play, any hint of rain would certainly lead to rescheduled games. And besides, Lake Travis is very nice in September.

Is there another U11 bracket besides the 11v11 bracket? I know part of the problem traveling north and south at U11 is they still play 9v9. North Texas is the only one playing 11v11 at U11.

The other bracket(s) for Austin are 8v8 for the 99's. We run into the same thing in Houston and even in Oklahoma. The other option is to play up with the 98's.

98's in STX Soccer Association also play 8v8.

That's interesting, because a few weeks ago when we were in Houston, we played in the 98 bracket and played 11v11. Not sure what STX Soccer plays normally though. Question
