Gotta agree, why would two plano teams be in the Gold and two LH teams be in the silver? I understand the two playing up, but not sure I understand the other unless they are just trying to boost the self esteem going into the season.

SPARTA requested to be in the Platinum level when we registered. Which was the top level, Not sure how we wound up getting put in the silver.

Maybe it's because they don't have a Platinum "level". With only 9 teams in the 11 v 11 I'm surprised they even have a gold and silver. Probably could have combined the 2 and called it yellow. Well like it was said, the dd will have fun running the halls of the hotel and the adults will have fun running 3rd & 6th streets. pirat

They had a Platinum when the team manager registered us, but hey, what are you going to do..you have to register before you can find out who is playing. In this case we got the short end of the stick. Rolling Eyes

Solar '99 Blue wins the Austin Labor Day Cup. They won on points as there was no Finals. Four games and done.

Sounds like it was a long weekend. The tournament organizers were less than stellar in almost all regards as I understand it. I doubt SB will be going back or recommending this tourney for next year.

It was tough explaining to the dd's that they never lost a game but they came in second place in the tournament. I wish that the gold bracket would have had a championship game.
It was also strange that the last game was 2 x 25 and the three prior were 2 x 30. It was a good tournament for the FC Dallas Red South Team. Way to go girls.

No warm fuzzies here. I have to say the fields we played on our first three games were pitiful.

Congrats to Solar Blue for winning the tournament.
