Wow, Sting this, Sting that... STING STING STING...

Can someone please do a quick synopsis of all the Sting 03 teams which have formed in I guess the past 6-9 months?

    Mendoza
    Goodman
    Searles
I thought there was more than this... no?

From the outside it looks like:

Sting formed a few Lakewood teams under the Sting East banner. Those teams are now Central Sting under Coach Parker and while they used to practice at Glencoe they are now practicing at Moss. I think they will have an SDL team and a DIAL team.

Sting West is the teams that were Texans Davis?

Sting Scarfone/Searles is the core from Samba Black. I got the impression that Skip and Will enjoyed working together at D'Feeters and will be working together with this talented group. Reports say 7 girls left Samba to play this team so they will need another 7 to play 11v11.

Sting Mendoza and Sting Goodman are still around and have been together for 2 years?

I don't know where Sting Carter went. Maybe that was a different age group. And now I see a team called STANKOVICKS/HARR. Not sure about them.

What about the Don/Dave show... (Shepherd)?
That became Quintanna, and then who.... and she already left? Is that now Searles?

    Good summary Tap the Brakes!
With a couple of the Sting coaches having two 03 teams,
I count 10 teams total....I believe Liverpool has 10 03 teams as well.

    Jeepers - 10 teams?

Okay, but only 3 make the "Power Rankings - Top 30" that some member posts here?

Where do the others play? SDL? Something less competitive than that?

Where did all the coaches names go on the Sting website?

Most are blank in the directory and team listings.

    Website update or coaching shuffle?

From the "03 Power Rankings Week 9 Fall 11" thread there were 3 Sting teams. Sting Mendoza, Sting Goodman and Sting Searles.

I believe Sting Searles is now Fever Black?

However, if you just change the names to the new Sting names (and assume the same rankings) they now have:
    #3: Sting Scarfone/Searles
    #5: Sting Mendoza
    #9: Sting West Davis
    #11: Sting Goodman

As for the other 6 or so teams I only have heard about Central Sting. They played DIAL as Sting East last fall. This spring they are playing in more tournaments and will play SDL and therefore should show up in the rankings.

My guess is the other Sting teams have not played in the "better" leagues (Primetime, SDL and now EAL) or any tournaments and therefore have not been seen by the people that frequent this forum and rank teams.

Click on the individual academy location (Dallas, East, Central, etc) and the individual team names pop up.

    Thanks.

Looks like they are there for the Academy teams, just not the Select teams.

    Select- what's that?

Oh yeah, I think I read about that somewhere on this site, but I am too scared to worry about it (or budget for it) now.

Wait one cotton picking minute! 2 years?? I have been paying my dues to Andromeda and now Sting under the name of Mendoza for at least 4 years. The team has been around for longer than 2 years and we've never lost a lil soldier to another team (except 1 of 2 keepers whose parents are '03 coaches as well. Great kid and parents though). The coach groomed 8 of the 12 girls himself. We are the little engine / Rodney Dangerfield team that just keeps chugging along. We could use a few more girls/parents as we move to 11v11 though....hint

Sorry, outonalimb, I have only been around the academy scene for a year and a half. I knew that team had been around awhile, but forgot about the Andromeda roots. I did put a ? after it since I wasn't sure.

Wow! Sting is going to have a strong ECNL 03 team.
