That is so lame. We scored first so we should have won???

GD - gotta love the acronym, but I was just basing my decision on straight opinion. Not my fault you don't agree. Was the win on a PK? Really a PK or during the run of play? You do know what that means correct?

It went to overtime. RASE scored early in overtime to avoid having to go to PKs.

BumpyPitch wrote:Here are some observations or questions to be answered from this past Fall TGPL Gold teams participate with LHGCL Select or "Pre-ECNL" (for those few participating clubs) on the horizon :

DT-"South" - another excellent season for this talented team and coach. Lots of questions to be answered come select for this team and club. Does HN & the Texans Club work to make this team the marquee Dallas Texans Team of the age group? If so, who will coach? GA or RS or RM or other? Will the Dallas Texans consolidate other strong players towards this team within the club? Or does the club move the top core players from South to the Dallas side and work to make another top Dallas Texans team like years past come select? Whatever ever happens - I am sure HN will put his best '03 players players the club has in this age group to one team and the Texans Empire will be well represented come select! If not, HN could always get a top team from a rival and leave DT South alone?

Cosmos - as a small independent club from the economically challenged Very Happy Park Cities area, TW has always beat the odds to place a LH D1 come select. Another up & down season for this team. Questions come select are simple; can they keep their core girls especially stud striker from being poached from their nemesis Sting? Or, can they poach players from the Sting factory of teams and complete roster with quality depth? Going to be fun to watch.

FCD - another solid season of play this fall with some great results! FCD will continue to try and poach what they can from their competitors and hope their top players hold and stay put. Lots of players playing for quite a few FCD teams in the age group to choose from to build "top" team come select. Who will be the coach? Will MGrubb coach this team come select or will the Diaz keep this ship and along with his ECNL teams? Hard to make games when you are out of town. Should be interesting.

FCD-East - like years past Coach JH will put together a very good team around a stud forward. It's going to be interesting to see which FCD team will be the better team come select. My bet is on East. For the club, its all good either way and FCD are in good shape going forward with ECNL to come.

Fever - another independent team from the Tarrant County area that had an up & down year, starting real strong and ending on a real low. Can this team keep their stud striker? Will they hold together at all come select. This team has a ton of questions regarding future than most, but hopes are they are still playing come select! Gave some teams a run for their money and were very competitive. One to keep an eye on come Spring, lots of variables here.

LP - the only big club that is NOT an ECNL member with tons of teams & players that currently has a very good top team. Lots of good questions to be answered come select? Does LW hand off top team to CPulp? Does this group combine all the top players from the other LP teams to form a LP super team? How will they respond to not being any ECNL member and keep elite players beyond first year of select. At the very least, for the first year of select, LP should have a top team .

SRSA - where do you start? Most dominant team by far over in the age group for sometime now! Where do they go from here? They will have a new coach coming this Spring with AS? Should we expect some "new" additions of other great players wanting to join before select? Most likely. Do they follow the Texans 02 from last year and only play boys next spring? With so many players and having a team that just played in Silver division can they put together another elite team that can actually compete with the top five in the age group in LH D1? If so, who will coach that one? No doubt this will be an elite team for years to come that will only get better and represent NT on the national stage as they get older. Going to be fun to watch.

Sting S & Sting M - with low roster numbers on both these teams now, do these two very good teams combine and become one? I know Out would like to see that! According to OUT, this will be "the top team" of the group? scratch Still not convinced on that one. If so, who will be the coach this team come select? affraid I am sure the powers of Sting are going to figure it out and Sting will be represented come select as one of the better teams to beat!

Sting W - will only continue to get better with their committed coach. Where do they add players from? Sting Dallas or from other Tarrant teams in the area? Most likely, other TC teams. By select RD will put together a solid D1 select team that will always be ready to play.

What other teams does everyone consider to be on the rise and ones to watch? Question

Couple of closing predictions that historically happens over the next 6/8 months before select ... Teams & coaches will actually change clubs, especially independents to one of the bigger ECNL clubs. Also, the top teams usually get EVEN stronger as "top" players from lesser teams want to play on top teams leaving 2 to 3 really dominant teams within the age group, while the rest will be very competitive amongst themselves. Good luck to all!! cheers cheers cheers cheers cheers

New Updates.....

DT-"South" - Lots of questions to be answered come select for this team and club. ---- Lots of Red out an about all across town. Will this be the same team come Spring? Playing in the DT Fall Festival this weekend, who is going to still be wearing Texan Red?

Cosmos - Star forward seen elsewhere, if this talent leaves the group, could spell trouble come Spring. Will see if she is around this weekend playing at Primetime and with whom? Good matchups with LP Dalglish and Solar Blue

FCD - Heard they couped a DTS player of great talent, is this true?

FCD-East - Haven't heard any exciting news from this camp on players coming in or out. Any updates from anyone?

Fever - Is this team even still together? Losing players left and right - SRSA/FCD Prem have their pick of players from what I hear. Would hate to see this one implode, they were always a wild card and had some great wins last Fall.

LP - Haven't heard of any mass exodus to this point, seems like LW is keeping this group together to this point.. Where are they playing their Winter ball? Playing in PT this weekend?

SRSA - Heard lots of girls at practice these days, over 30+ the past week or so and still coming in droves. Will be interesting how many 'others' will test the waters before Spring. This team could be getting even better.

Sting S = Sting G - AG takes the SS team and loses her 00 team to KM. So now is Sting G and will be in the PT tourney this weekend, how will this pan out?

Sting M - sure they are wishing some of the DTS players were at their camp, they need numbers in order to keep up with the Jones's. Should be in the Final against DTS, small roster works well with short 20 minute halves.

Sting W - great tourney last week, losing 2-1 to Rase it what sounded like a defensive battle and warding off the Rase offensive domination. RD has these girls playing great D, but goals win games - gotta score goals come Spring.

Lots of movement in the space, testing the waters and players here and there week in and week out. Historically this happens every year prior to QT. Come May, teams will implode because one or two players leave for a 'so-called better team'. Hold on folks this roller coaster is just getting started. cheers cheers cheers

Do you know where from and if it dilutes any of the Top 10? Question

Obviously if LPD has picked up some players it is safe to assume they are of quality, not just for quantity reasons Question Question Question

Always interesting to see where these players originated from and how their potential movement affect their previous team.

FlyGirl tell us more...going to get more coffee and some bon-bons. This could be good.

LPD picked up some quality players, it will be interesting what that team looks like this weekend.

Sting W loses two top players to LPD and rumored DTS player(s) coming over?

Not really, I am sure they have another LP home if they wanted, 2 other quality sides out there. I am uncertain of the numbers LW had to begin with but sure he has a place for everyone.

As for Sting W - this may be the demise if RD is losing top players to a team that is on the other side of the planet.

Also, would really like to see what DTS fields this weekend, same roster as the players aren't telling coach they are testing the waters at the other Red Machine/LP. Or will LP have them rostered? affraid

Hard to believe that some would leave an exceptional DT team with ECNL options in the future for LP with no options in ECNL. I know it is 3 years away, but some parents have no idea what ECNL is and what it means for their DDs. With the impending Pre-ECNL/ECNL Jr. around the horizon and potentionally creeping into the U11 age group sooner than later...is this a good choice? Sad

Has DTS lost its luster as #2, seems lots of DTS players are out and about these past 2 weeks. Lots of extra touches being had all over the metroplex. silent

Has Sting W - brought in any new players thus far? Question

What a crazy week for the 03s...not even Thanksgiving yet.

Interesting rumor that I'm curious to hear more about. IMO, one of Fever's top player is the coach's daughter and she's been playing side-by-side with their other star player for years now. Has the rest of the team bailed on those 2? Did coach/daughter split up? Or should we expect to hear that SP is now coaching at Solar (wasn't he there 3 years ago?) or FCD?

Far as I know SP still is at Fever, DD still there as well. I do know of others that are testing the waters. Doubt he will be back at Solar, IMO.

Bumpy, where has the Cosmos studette forward been seen?

I thought it was in the color of blue as in Sting...but could be wrong. affraid Seems Sting with central locations seems to coupe the Park Cities players...Happened in the 00G Division - Cosmos went Sting Central Parker.

@Bumpy
This is the 03' group not the 00' group! If
You are going to see a "star forward" somewhere
Other than their team you might want to make
Sure which age group your speaking to:)
No more drinking and blogging for you;)
You could get some poor forward in the
Dog house.

Excuse me, affraid I am pretty sure I know what I was referencing and the forward has been seen out West in blue, As for her being in the dog house, that is only her parent's fault for not letting the other coach know. If the coach knows then guess what, no harm no foul - my comments are that 03s are all over the place. Just check out the Texans Fall Festival and the PT Tourney this weekend you will see new faces all over.

As for my 00 reference, that was stating how the Sting Central 00G team used to be the Cosmos Black 00G. Just stating that 'the blue club' has gotten some of the Cosmos players/whole team in the past.

So yes, I will go back to my evening glass of wine and a little cheese. Drinking and blogging not a problem for me. sunny

You on the other hand should start drinking and blogging. drunken

Bad intel...Most Cosmos teams are wearing Blue for practice uniforms and sometimes wear the practice Blue's instead of the 'away' Blacks for games. This...is a fact.

So bumpy, since your favorite team is not playing this weekend- is there any bad intel you plan to provide by Monday, and how will you come by it? Or will you just get smashed and make bad guesses?

Need not worry, some good intel is that this weekend you will see DDs all over the place in different colors. Expect some upsets at DT Fall Festival, with 20 minute halves anything can happen.

'03 Division Outlook - Page 5 Empty A little update from the fields today

Post by HomeAgain 17/11/12, 06:46 pm

study A little update from the fields today study
Sting S has only one confirmed player departure - moved to SRSA B.
Fever has lost two DDs to FCD Premier in the past few weeks.
Liverpool W also lost two (former Solar Red) girls to FCD Premier.
One FCD A/B player moved to SRSA B.
The roster at FCD (Prem/Palm) should now be about 38+ girls. Parents continue to be told of two "pre" pre-ENCL traveling teams for next year, and if they have enough for third team, THAT team would play in Lake Highlands. From what I hear, no other ENCL clubs talking about a pre-pre-ENCL league.
