NSCAA National Course in Grapevine

Grapevine Southlake Soccer Association (GSSA) will be hosting their 2nd Non-Residential National Course (C) in Grapevine during the weekends of 14-16 June and 21-23 June. Last year we progressed 43 coaches to the National level and we are looking to advance 60 coaches this year in preparation for hosting an Advanced National Course (B) in 2014.

The course begins at 2:45pm on a Friday and takes up a 2 full weekends as follows:

Friday 14th June: 2:45pm-10:00pm
Saturday 15th June: 8:00am-8:00pm
Sunday 16th June: 8:00am-5:00pm

Friday 21st June: 2:45pm-10:00pm
Saturday 22nd June: 8:00am-8:00pm
Sunday 23rd June: 8:00am-5:00pm

The course is a mixture of theory and practical field sessions and costs $625 for NSCAA members/$710 for Non-members.

GSSA are bringing many courses to the local area, allowing coaches to progress their education whilst also cutting down on costs and vacation time taken in order to make it easier for local coaches to attain the next level of coaching certification. The week in between (16-20 June) has been slated for an evening NSCAA Goal Keeping 1 & 2 course presented by Deb Raber. This has yet to be finalized but is 80% complete in the planning also.

This is a great course! I was in attendance at the last National Course and plan to take the Advanced National in the next year or two. The coaching staff was wonderful, its a great opportunity to network with other coaches as well. I also interned with NSCAA and really like their coaching philosophies. I highly recommend this course!
