Dallas International Girls Cup 01
Dallas International Girls Cup 01
Texans over Solar Red 1-0 in the semis
Sting over FC Dallas 1-0 (OT) in the semis
Texans over Sting 2-1 in the final
With this win, Texans are invited to the 2014 Gothia Cup and also the 2014 Dana Cup, anyone have anything to share on either of these 2 events? Sounds pretty expensive but for all I know could be a one time opportunity for our girls so just asking.

01 age group in NTX has a strong record thus far against out of state competition. Good luck if you guys decide to go and represent.

Congrats on a VERY impressive run through the playoffs. You guys really seem to come to play in the big tournaments. What happened in bracket play? It seems like two different teams. Just inconsistent 12 year olds or were you missing players? That was an incredible turn around. It says a lot about the character of your girls to be able to come back and play the same teams they just lost to and pull out wins. Mental toughness at its best. Once again - CONGRATS.

Our 98 dd's team played Gothia Cup this past summer. It was a great experience. I highly recommend it. Hit me up on the sideline sometime and I'll share some more specifics with you. A few interesting rules and twists...

It is awesome to go over there and play teams from all over the world. The year I went we won our bracket went 3-0 and won our first round playoff lost in the round of 16 there were over 80 teams in our age bracket. We played teams from Sweden, Norway, and Germany. Our only loss to the other US team in the tourny. The weather is quite nice or at least it was when i went. was in the 60-70 degree range which was a nice break from 105 of the summer here. Its in a lovely area of Sweden as well. Will be a great experience if they go.
Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it!

Actually we were down 1 starter for the semi and final that we normally lean heavily on but other than that, yes, inconsistent for sure. We went from having the worse game that I've seen these girls play during the 5 years we've been on this team, to the best 3 game run they've ever had, so yes, inconsistent 12 year olds w/ mental toughness at the right time, thanks for your comments Sweeper.
