We know the original seeding is by FBR anyway...why not put a column that shows how they finished last weekend? There are some pretty significant deltas there....

I know. I can't believe I screwed it up so badly. Only 85% of my top 13 won their brackets in week 1 and only 90% of my top 20 qualified.
Maybe next year, they won't ruin it for me by actually playing the games...

Bracket F: Lady Aztecs....can Squeek by DT White

Yeah these games get in the way of whats really important...Bragging rights
.So try this then.....for every FBR that you do.....automatically adjust the TOP 13 downward by 10-15%....then see who they compare

Not sure how you have NTFC beating GSSC unless your DD plays for them. GSSC should win their bracket handily. Now I could see NTFC making it as one of the last two if they play a great set of games this weekend.

I'd have to say that the 85%/90% percentages are pretty darned good, relatively speaking. I also feel comfortable knowing the basis for the LHGCL QT seeding. Much better than the old "dark ages" of pre 01G rankings...
FBR deserves credit for this, as there was very little "drama" about the actual seedings this year, in comparison to pre-FBR days.

Here's some more analysis for you soccer geeks......
Legend:
GREEN:
According to Round 1 results, Bracket C appears to be the easiest bracket for the top seed
RED:
Sting & FC Premier, both teams finished 2nd in thier bracket. Both with high QT point totals. Both with high # of GF's. No other bracket has those combinations in them.
BLUE:
Andromeda has the highest number of GF's. Thier QT points are the highest in thier bracket
YELLOW & ORANGE:
These teams should have been swapped and placed in each others brackets
PURPLE:
These teams "could" have been swapped in some other teams brackets....but then it would make the same issue in another bracket. So, unfortunately...somebody's gotta sacrifice one for the greater good Thank God for the 2 at large spots
OTHER COMMENTS:
1. The most competitive/exciting games to watch & most likely will come down to these games & notice how there all the last games of the tourney (coincidence???) are:
- Sting West vs FC Premier (Sunday @ 2:00pm, UTD #03)
- FCD Central vs Andromeda (Sunday @ 11:00am, UTD #02)
- LP Raisbeck vs Sparta (Sunday @ 2:00pm, UTD #09)
2. As a whole, LHGCL/FBR got it right.....but IMHO, LHGCL should have had a 2-3 more tweeks to the brackets
But hell....if being right means I can keep living....then I need to get my WILL/ESTATE updated!

Good stuff SocDad. Man they really could have done a better job. 3- 4th place finishers in 1 bracket? FCD Central and Raisbeck are going to have their hands full.

Agree with the Cosmos upset. They played our team real strong last weekend and even scored on the Mustangs. They were quick on getting to the ball and had a couple mids with good speed. Good luck to them and the other teams going for those D3 spots.

Mighty quiet on here today. Even those of us with no dog in the fight are mindful of not wanting to create any bulletin board material and making any more enemies. I guess it may be up to someone with a dog in the fight to stir the pot.

I say we not have a '07 ranking for at least 2 more years. The age group is already lusting over winning and blood thirsty for goals (Academy 22, Keller Rec 0 at half time with 4 completed passes for Academy, 1 by accident). A lot of forum talk about development and doing what's right, and how NTX culture needs to change.. here's where change can start.
