SuperCopa Girls 2015 Empty SuperCopa Girls 2015

U90C is pleased to announce the Dallas Premier SuperCopa Girls tournament for June 12-14, 2015.  This tournament is the sister tournament to the popular boys Dallas Premier SuperCopa being played June 5-7, 2015.

Invitations are being sent by the selection committees now.  The League Challenge Cup hosted November 22-24 in McKinney is the only qualifying tournament available for both SuperCopa's.

Laugh, but those organizing this have done an outstanding job of it on the boys side.

They pull this out on the girls side and its a very good thing for the NTX scene.

Completely agree.  The boys tournament this year in my son's age group was something like 16 of the top 50 teams nationally per GotSoccer (and the other 8 teams were highly ranked as well).  We played incredible teams from Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Indiana. My son broke his wrist 10 minutes into the first game went to the doctor, got a cast and insisted on getting back to the fields ASAP because he had been looking forward to this tournament for months.

So, I take it that teams have to be invited rather than individuals. Is that right?

Do they allow guest players?

They do allow guests. Catch is a team cant qualify via league challenge cup if they use players that will play on another team in the supercopa.

Clear this up for me. I'm slow today.

If team A is invited and Team B is not, a player from Team B can guest play with an invited team?

Or is it that Team B can't play in the tournament for a player from Team B to be eligible to play for the qualified Team A?

Or is it that if Team B plays in the tournament but doesn't qualify, the player can then still play for Team A?

Just an example...

Srsa 03 is invited to play.  No need to qualify.  Another solar team borrows a few players and wins league challenge cup, gaining admission to the supercopa.

Those borrowed players then head back to srsa 03 for supercopa.  That renders the team that borrowed ineligible to play in supercopa.

That's a great idea!

It would be great if someone from each eligible age group would do something like that and have some tryouts for it; maybe something like an ODP tryout camp on an "off day" of a weekend. It might make for a super competitive team. Smile

This is what a lot of the out of town teams do. They ask all of the best players in the area and put together the best team possible......Who cares....It is academy soccer and any kid can play for who they want on a week to week basis...
