I see TSC 06 has thrown their hat into the ring for the league challenge cup to try and qualify for this.

That was just the Interested Not Committed list. I have asked them to remove us from the list because TSC wants us to participate in another tournament here in Tulsa that same weekend. It is one our club hosts and wants us to enter so there is no chance of us coming down for the qualifier. We did have plans to come back down and play in the NTFC Fall Challenge the weekend before so it looks like those plans are going to be more solid. And of course, we would still love to play in SuperCopa if we get invited.

The funny thing is, I dont beleive any of the "invited" teams have actually seen the invites.

Hoping they reach out to the SoCal 06s. Would be great fun for the ladies and parents to meet some new friends!

I'm sure they will. Question is, will they make the trip over?

Lots of intrigue here in So Cal. Tough part is getting the whole team to make the trip as school continues into mid June for most So Cal Schools. Plus no one knows who will be invited.

As per an email I received last week from the organizers. Invites will be out in September.

Supposedly the page that was seen last week was a dummy page used as a placeholder. So invited teams would have between now and June to plan for it.

What criteria is used to choose the out of state teams?

No clue, but based on the application they have on their site... League play, tournament play, and what the local coaches say about the team. It asks for references.

I would imagine the Surfs, Blues, etc... Of the world would be auto invites as they routinely do have top quality teams.

They could realisticly target any number of big clubs and probably do OK, all they need is 24.

The boys side last year was very strong. From U9 - u12

Consensus u9 top 5 in socal right now would be:
1. LA Galaxy South Bay Elite I (LA)
2. Legends FC (LA)
3. Rebels SC Gold (SD)
4. Surf Select (SD)
5. Beach FC Gold (LA)

SC Blues is not far behind.

Send them all. The more the better.

If they can't do better than the U11 girls seeding at the Spring Kickoff Tournament, RUN away from this tournament.

Three of top 4 teams in the tournament (possibly the 3 top teams) all placed in the same bracket.

If they don't see a problem with this, what stops them from placing the top SuperCopa seeds in the same bracket - or regional brackets where all the teams from California play each other?

You are conveniently leaving out the fact that one of those 3 signed up after the schedules came out to take one of the open spots. They knew who they would play and they wanted to play them obviously otherwise they wouldn't have registered for that open (looking for a team) spot.

Whomever seeded did the same in 06 Gold as well...it's a pattern of ineptness...

They may have wanted to play the other 2 - but this is a SuperCopa qualifying event.  The brackets should be set to promote the best teams into the playoffs.

And GSSC?  Can they pull out now?  I am sure they weren't looking to play the top 3 teams in Texas.

U90C is pleased to announce the 2016 Premier SuperCopa.  The tournament will have a boys and girls weekend again next year.  Teams interested in participation have 3 specific ways to earn acceptance.  This year's tournament was a huge success with quality teams coming in from 37 different states to include California, Maryland, Florida, Hawaii, and others with over 90 different soccer clubs being represented.

I hear all the California teams are going to delay their transition to AP so that they can participate in this tournament.

And all the North Texas current '06 teams are going to skip QT to play in Surf Cup.

Suggestion U90C...

make this an AP event for next summer...
