U15 ECNL Upcoming Games
U15 ECNL Upcoming Games
A few blowouts, close games and a few that make you scratch your head.
We have about (7) seven games this weekend and we could see some movement in the Texans Region rankings based on outcomes.
TSC vs. Solar - 0-2
Solar is playing some great possession soccer and the new additions/players are really starting to understand the system. Great game against Feet last weekend.....always a close game against this squad.
Feet vs. Lonestar - 2-1
Feet are a better team this year. They added some speed/talent up top and their mid-field has gotten better. Defense has always been a top 4...nothing has changed there.
AHFC vs. Challenge - 2-1
Not much to say here....haven't seen Challenge this year. Albion is a solid team with a good defense. Some play makers up top may be too much for Challenge.
Sting vs. Rush - 2-0
Sting had a big win last week and it appears they can put the ball in the net. Not good for any team in the Texas Region.
Texans vs.FCD - 1-2
FCD is on a roll and I don't see it changing this weekend. Texans have a tie and a loss on the season and no one would have predicted that...as they ended the season on a very high note. This will be "Game of the Week" IMO.
Feet vs. Rush - 2-1
Will be a defensive battle...a battle won by Feet.
Sting vs. Lonestar 1-1
Sting is playing some good soccer and the win over Texans means they can play on both ends of the field. This could be a "Spoiler" game and end in a tie....at least that is what I am predicting...or....Sting wins 2-1.
On a National level......it appears that Surf already has a tie and GSA has a loss and a tie. Also, San Juan took a lose last weekend. The So Cal region appears to be loaded with talent this year...not that it wasn't last year. More parity at the top vs. the bottom this year.
All for now...BP

Re: U15 ECNL Upcoming Games
TSC vs. Solar - 0-3 Solar too much firepower
Feet vs. Lonestar - 2-0 Feet better mid-field and D
AHFC vs. Chall - 0-1 Albion has injuries to key forwards and Challenge is better across the board then last year picking up Albion's strong AM
Sting vs. Rush - 2-0 : Probably too much depth for Rush but if Rush starting 11 gets on the field it may be competitive for most of the game
Texans vs. FCD - 1-3 : FCD are the real deal. Texans disappointing so far but last year they finished strong when it counted at the end!
Feet vs. Rush - 0-0. Suspect a tie but whoever can get behind the D the most may put one into win.
Sting vs. Lonestar 2-0 : LS coach's tactics leave a lot to be desired but wont be enough to get a win on the road.

Re: U15 ECNL Upcoming Games
FCD is bringing the noise - hope they can keep it up because they look good. They are really getting that ball in the net and they are playing like a team.
Sting has the talent for sure but may need to gel a bit more and get used to the new coach. Still fun to watch and their depth may be the best in the league. At any time, you may have a top talent on the bench. Good team!
Texans - a bit of a surprise so far as I expected more but they always seem to kick in when it counts.
Feet - this team gets the "most improved" award and will likely surprise a top team and get a win with their fast and aggressive forwards, solid midfield and good defense. Good to see them improving!

Albion score is correct, Sting over Challenge 3 to 0 and Rush over TSC 1 to 0. Anyone have the 01 FCD vs Lonestar score thankssoccerman75 wrote:Any scores from 10/3 games, heard Albion 2-1 over Feet?

Re: U15 ECNL Upcoming Games
As I had mentioned before...the team that Slammers brought to Nationals was probably not the team that played in "Regional" play all year.
If ENCL freezes rosters mid-season......things would be very different at Nationals....or......put a rule in place that all players attending Nationals should have played in 51% of all regional games.
Slammers swept every team at nationals....but....they can't win their own regional division...hmmmmmmm....somethings up!

I was just being a smartazz and poking fun at all the slammers are invincible crowd. Yeah a player or two missing might make a difference, but IMO there are about 7 or 8 elite teams that can beat anyone on any given day. Surf, Slammers, Solar, FCD, Kicks, Bethesda, Concorde and used to be Hawks, but dont think so anymore..especially if/when Frasier plays up. Surf and slammers are probably at the top of that group until proven otherwise, but they are very close in talent level, and always have been including at last year's nationals. The Texas teams beat who they're supposed to beat, but need to show they can raise their game to the next level and nip the big dogs when it counts.
