Seriously, this 01 "folder" has been overtaken by threads consisting mostly of the overriding opinion that PPL D2 teams are greater than/equal to most LHGCL D2 teams. A secondary opinion is that the top D2 teams can compete with the D1 teams. I think that about sums it up.
If one wants to measure their team's worth, schedule them to play in the Platinum/Gold bracket of some of the larger tournaments. (Hint: be careful, paying $650 to have your team beaten 6-0 three times in pool play can have a long-term effect on a team's psyche).

Re: LH D2 Power Rankings
I've never made claims of certain D2 teams going against the top D1 teams. But I'm sure there are many who do. I'm too busy enjoying my time with my family and actually watching my DD play soccer. I don't follow the division's or leagues that our team isn't playing in. However, when certain people feel the compulsive need to claim that players in PPL are so much better than the girls playing in D2, they obviously need to evaluate the situation and realize that they either need a hobby before you stroke out or lighten up a little and let these girls simply enjoy the game. Obviously the players in PPL had the opportunity to try out for D2 and didn't make the cut this season. Get over it , Focus on winning your division/league or whatever and then show our girls what you've got next season if they make it into LH. But for goodness sake, enjoy the rest of the season watching your DD do a great job . Before you know it she' just may be scoring that unforgettable goal at the World Cup just like Carli Loyd. Best wishes

Re: LH D2 Power Rankings
The top two are fairly well established. They have taken care of business and got a fairly soft spring ahead of them. 3rd place could be a battle. Places 5 through 7 could trade spots but are destined for D3 one way or another. The Aztecs, DT, and TSN could be fighting it out for the last bye into D3.

And a pretty dang consistent offense as well. When you take into account their travel, it is amazing they are able to field a consistent roster much less post the level of effort week in and week out. All the credit goes to them. They play quality soccer without resorting to thug style play. Good for them.

Re: LH D2 Power Rankings
Looking at the format posted and taking into account a 15th team was added late, which has already been mathematically eliminated, this is what "should" happen.
1st & 2nd - D2 with a chance at D1
3rd - D2
4th thru 9th - D3
10th thru 15th - Regulated
4 spots open for D3 in the 2016 QT
or
We have a very wet Spring and have MEGA D1 next year with 30 teams, winner takes all.

Re: LH D2 Power Rankings
That is about as arrogant a statement as one can post. Why not just say "who cares about Plano"? That being posted on a message board that is overrun with LH power rankings, predictions, team analysis, up to the hour score updates, etc. C'mon guys! There are passionate, educated and dedicated players and parents in Plano also!DDsdadforsoccer wrote: Nobody wants to see a Plano Power Ranking. The table pretty much seves as the power ranking. .
I'm not going to rehash what other posters have already commented on regarding how screwed up Plano is, though they actually should have taken a page out of Lake Highlands and set up 2 divisions of 12 instead of being lazy and setting 3 divisions and sliding a bunch of last year's 3rd division teams to 1st division. Then cutting the schedule to 7 games (for the same price of course). It doesn't do any good for my daughters development to continuously trot around players who take wild swings at a dribbled ball, but that is what Plano has presented everyone with. We are obviously going to look at options at the end of the year, though her team is well positioned so if there are 4 spots (which probably means 6) in LH, the team should hopefully secure one. And so nobody misunderstands, I'm not alleging that Plano teams are as good as LH. Everyone knows that's not accurate. But there are some decent teams in there and the irony is that most of them are in this fall's D2, hence the reason for the Power Rankings.

I'm a fan of Youth Soccer Rankings.

It does the best job of looking at all games played regardless of division, league or tournament. It does a good job of comparing teams from different areas and age groups.
As with all rankings, these are just best guesses and no absolute results.

Totally agree with this. Basically, it tells one what the goal differential in a given game should be. Much better than GotSoccer. Ironically, the rankings aren't too different with either. YSR's predictive nature makes it more useful though.

I think my comment that was supposed to be a slight joke. Was taken out of context and now is called arrogant.
Here is my attempt to do Messi's Job though I can't make a significant write up. Since I don't watch any of the games so it will be a shot in the dark,
1. Odyssey
2 -6 1-5 in Division 2. ( Power division in no particular order other then maybe the Andro as 1 and Spirit as 5 though someone told me that Spirit is supposed to be better in the spring I'll believe it when I see it)
7-10 2-5 in Division 1.
I'll call it my LTPPR. ( Lazy Tier Plano Power Rankings)
