CONGRATULATIONS! - TEXAS WINTER CLASSIC 2016 - GREAT FINALS

GIRLS DIVISION - CLOSE CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES IN ALL AGE GROUPS

The 2016 Texas Classic was a huge success.  Despite the cold Saturday weather, the players maintained a positive attitude and a spirited performance, and with the warming up of the weather on Sunday, the stage was set for great finals.  That Sunday, the sky was clear and the sun was shining.  The teams took full advantage of the weather and played some of the most competitive finals ever witnessed in the Texas Classic Series' eleven years of existence.  Except for one game, all finals were decided by a one goal margin.  The games were close and exciting.  Parents cheered as the teams battled.  The champions were ecstatic and the finalists were heartbroken.  The champions had indeed earned their trophy.  

The stage has been set for the 2016 Texas Summer Classic in August.  Just maybe, we will see rematches.

Congratulations to all the teams that made the playoffs and bigger congratulations to the teams that made the finals.

BOYS DIVISION - SOME GOOD GAMES ACROSS THE BOARD

The boys division finals were not as competitive as the girls division, but there were some great bracket games and a couple of competitive finals.  A couple of the games were closer than the scores indicated.  In the end the finalists were worthy champions.  The Saturday weather was cold and brutal, but the teams played through it and put up a spirited performance.  Sundays weather was great.  The sky was clear, sun was out and the temperature was fantastic for soccer.

Congratulations to all the teams that made the playoff and a bigger congratulations to those that made it to the finals.

Early candidate for turnaround of the year

The girls U13 Silver game was Sau Paulo FC and FCFORCE with SPFC winning. I have to type in FCFORCE in one word because if you don't someone has changed it to auto correct to dribble instead of F0rce. I'm sure this will be deleted like all there F0rce related post. I've emailed the moderators with my telephone number but nobody wants to call or email me back.
